The food was very nice
Just a sad and un organized resturant. Went there for the 1st time and waited and hr for small amounts of food. While sitting and waiting I asked 5 times and all 5 times they said they were busy. The place was empty. Okay, no problem every resturant has a bad night. 2nd time I ordered uber eats bc I didn't have the patience to order and wait in an empty resturant just to be told they are busy. Uber eats dropped the food timely. I was missing 1/2 the food. I called and they told me to order more food or complain to uber eats the driver took the food. I said I refuse to lie on their behalf. Just scammers.
Nope. Taste horrible. Peppered Goat.

The host was friendly as he was putting in my order another lady came and was showing him something on her phone as if to say, she can wait what’s on my phone is more important, I waited a great deal but it’s been over a month since I been craving jollof rice that I got with assorted meat. I usually like it but three small pieces were not enough and 1piece totally not edible, 1st and last attempt and after reading reviews I’m mad at myself. lol!

Came in for a pick up that was confirmed as ready for pick up. Was made to wait entirely too long before I was acknowledged. When employee went to check on food they were back there for another 5 mins. No urgency in giving me an update. When they finally did I was told it would be another 5 min wait. There was only one table occupied during this time, and at least three employees working. Incredibly frustrating. Just be aware of the tardiness when coming here.

This place is a rip off. I paid $28 for a small soup, and get charged $12 for a small container of rice…. Food took forever. I’m new to eating African food and have been disappointed with many of the restaurants with the ridiculous mark up. They’re overpriced and take too long. Waiting over 40 minutes for mediocre food is unacceptable. The beef patty’s were bland, maybe they can learn how to make an empanada next door from the Venezuelans. The portion sizes are too small for everything being $45!!!!! … I also love spicy, but they made it to the point to where it’s not enjoyable. Hispanics aren’t penny sniffers when it comes to food and cost.

Tasty food all the way from Dallas. Elizabeth was so nice and welcoming. .I recommend this place
The food is amazing but some employees, two specifically, are kinda rude on the phone. Last time, I ordered, there was hair and now there's a whole strand from some broom or something in my food. It's like one of those thin plastic strings you see on brooms. I'd give one star, but I like the food. If I contract some fatal digestive or colon issues from the bacteria on this broom strand, you guys will know what killed me??
I have a photo right here of the evidence, but it's not giving me an option to post photos.

I called and ordered my food over the phone and I was told it would be ready in 25 minutes.. When I arrived 30 minutes later I was told it wasn’t ready and to wait just 10 more minutes.. The food still wasn’t ready I was told to wait 10 minutes again, after 20 minutes which was now over an hour in total my food was still not ready so I walked out.. I was furious, my time was waisted, I was lied to, so that they could keep Business I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone‼️
I honestly don’t get the bad reviews on this restaurant at ALL. The food came decently fast even when there were to-go orders. The server was extremely nice! Gave amazing recommendations for our first time and helped us a lot. She even brought us drink choices. The food was AMAZING and I could tell it was made with love! Fufu was amazing and so was the jolloff (I’m sorry if I misspelled it!!) Thank you! Super happy to add this to my list when we visit here☺️

Today was my 2nd time ordering Egusi and fufu in row. The price is cheaper than most spots I’ve seen, total cost $24 tax included. The lady in the front is very sweet and Both times the food was very good. HOWEVER, today 05/08/2024, I found not one but THREE pieces of hair in my food. I don’t know if it’s from the meat used because one pieces was found stuck in the fact of the meat. The other pieces were in the soup itself, but they resemble short hair from a man or thick pubic hair even ?.. makes me wonder if there was hair in the first one but I didn’t notice it. I wanted to make this a permanent spot of mine but now I’ll have to decline. In today’s society I can’t take finding hair in my food lightly. I’ll have to find another spot. Hopefully they invest in hair nets or clean the meat better, whichever one or both.

Out of curiosity, we walked in to see what part of Africa the cuisine the restaurant was based. (I am Kenyan born). We decided to sit and cancel the Indian food pick up we had previously ordered for pickup..Mistake.The reception lady was very nice, accommodating and knowledgeable. She was very helpful with information on the different foods they have, All Nigerian.I ordered the bitter leaf with goat meat and my husband ordered the palm fruit with beef. The waiting for this good commenced. Aaand we waited, and waited. A couple who walked in were searched their food almost immediately. My food finally arrived. My husbands food was searred 50 minutes later. We both ate separately because of this. The portions were pathetic!! The tiny bowl of the bitter leaf with goat meat had a little bone with very tough skin on it. The other piece was of rib bones with a sliver of flesh on it and the other was a tough piece that was as hard as a piece of wood. My husband’s dish, when it finally arrived, had a sea of oil on it.THIS COST US $70.50.My issue is the service. Although the young lady apologized and said that our food took a little longer as it as difficult to cook, I still felt that we were treated differently.Although the culture may call for eating with your hands, we were not offered cutlery. Our dishes arrived far apart. If we wanted to eat separately, we would have gone separately.Am left with the thought that they did not really want us there.Worst experience ever. No more African restaurants for us.
