A Japanese couple operates the restaurant. Have very limited capacity and your order might take a while to cook, but it's always great experience!Because there is limited seating and the chef does not have unlimited energy, you should call before you enter the store to make reservations. If you are new to the restaurant, I strongly recommend you to order their bento box special (A, B, C).

AMAZING fish. Those nigiris took me places. Reservation only, not crowded. There are only 2 people working so don't expect fast service. But the woman is very kind and nice, she does her best to do all the jobs at once.We got the matsu dinner, miso soup, chicken skewers and various nigiris. I cannot fault the food at all, if you're serious about sushi/Japanese food this is the place. Just sit down and have a slow, amazing meal.

All the reviews are true about the freshness. It's an authentic Japanese owner operated small restaurant. You do get what you paid for. Great to have a real option in Duluth than having to drive out to Norcross/Peachtree Corner for my regular sushi place.

A traditional family-run restaurant, very authentic Japanese cuisine, reservation only. Super fresh sashimi. Very friendly and welcoming service but expect a longer wait in weekends.

WOW! Hands down best raw tuna I have had in my life. I ordered the moon nigiri plate, and every piece of nigiri was delicious! Clean, bright flavor in every piece of fish. I did not have one fishy bite, and I taste EVERYTHING. Service is a bit slow, as the entire restaurant is ran by a man and woman. If you come here, order something simple. Don't get the fried cream cheese this and that. The simple ingredients are high quality enough that they taste amazing on their own!

I'll lead with the fact that, as a guy with a bigger appetite, I'm not typically interested in sushi because it can be expensive and leave me feeling hungry but this place. DANG. I ordered 3 rolls because they were so cheap and they're about 2-3 pieces more than a usual sushi roll. I'm busting at the seams right now. I'm so full and I only spent $30. The quality of the fish here seems really great so this feels like a place I could explore with sushi, something I haven't done in the past because of the price point. Only reason I'm not giving a 5 star is because the service is crazy slow, but that's only because only two people work here, so if you just pretend you're at your moms house waiting on dinner, because that's really what it feels like, you'll be very pleased!

This place has the most authentic Japanese sushi that we have tried in GA. We love the food and the service. We relocated from Osaka, Japan last year and we have tried a lot of the local "spots" trying to find the same quality of that we got abroad. This has become our favorite place we have been to in the greater Atlanta area.

I felt like I was in Japan and I've never been before! Me and my husband came here last Sunday and we had such a good time. We did had to call ahead of time to make a reservation. The food was very traditional and I loved that the sushi was too! Service was great as well!

I'm from Snellville and my favorite sushi place was sold due to the owner retiring; then I was trying to look for an authentic Japanese Sushi Restaurant and I found Tokyo Shokudo. I went by the reviews and they did not disappoint. I was very impressed about the quality of the sushi; you have earned a customer. Reservation strongly recommended (You have to call more that once to get somebody on the phone) The owners are a mom and pop so please be patience as they are an elder couple taking care of the entire restaurant, but the food is worth waiting. I ordered the special tuna roll and it was the best tuna I have tasted. Indeed we have a little taste of Tokyo here in Duluth.

Such a hidden gem in Atlanta! The fishes are incredibly fresh, and the service is attentive. The wait time can be slightly longer (but reasonable) due to the entire restaurant being operated by a lovely old Japanese couple from Tokyo, but the food really make it worth it.

Surprisingly fresh, delicious, and great value. Chutoro, Uni, Anago, and O-toro are MUST try. BUT, be very patience for a slow service as only 2 persons working. Reservations ONLY and closed Mon and Tues (as of 7/7/23) . Hidden gem.
