Cafe Sababa - Mediterranean Grill

We really wanted to love this place, but couldn’t. When we first got here, it was a Monday and they were closed. We persisted and came here a second time on a Wednesday, and they were open but no lamb dishes. So bummed I couldn’t try the renowned lamb sandwich. We got the gyro and chicken shawarma platters. The server dude was really cool and helped us out, nice guy really. But the food was just not what we expected. Gyro was just not what I expected. No onions, fresh salad with grated feta but no dressing. You can tell the meat is home made but just didn’t taste like gyro to me. I could taste the granulated dry garlic in the tzatziki. Just overall Ok but not what I would have expected from the name. I wish them the best, they seem to have a good following. Just wasn’t a good fit for us.

That smash burger w Deliciousss melted cheese vegan was awesome!!! And the Superstar Raphael Kandadash led the show with speed, with recommendations and a smile!!!! SABABA IS A WINNER!!!❤️

This dad and son team does a great job getting the job done. The food is always consistent. It seems like their starting to put together another team of cooks. I know pre pandemic, they would have a staff of 3- 4 ppl in the kitchen. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, they had to let the team go. I hope he brings the same crew back.

Fast service, tasty food, great pricing, no complaints from me. I had the falafel wrap with chickpea soup and they were great.

Great quality food. Everything seemed so fresh. Best ever pita bread. Looks like they bake it in house. Lamb platter was amazing.

We love sababa for their food and the hot sauces. Their Fried Cauliflower (when it was on offering) - was amazing. Never missed to get it when it is on menu. Their falafel sandwiches are one of the best ones in Atlanta.

This place carries that 'neck of the neighborhood feel' while delivering authentic food! Definitely recommend.
