First they served me this delicious pastry and made me the best latte I’ve had in a while, and then they played The Strokes. 💕

In all seriousness, I will be back and recommending to others. The other pastries looked delightful and gourmet and I had a hard time choosing which one to get but was very happy with the mocha cinnamon roll.

Second time coming here. First time, service was good. Disappointing experience tonight. We had a party of 5 for the temaki takeover.

Things to note:
- Bar seating only, so first come first serve — no reservations
- Starters are unlimited, temaki options are limited to 3 per round and you can only choose one from Creations, one from Classic, and one from Veggie at a time
- 90 minute period from the time you sit down (so make sure your entire party is present)

What we didn’t expect is that you can only order the next round only when your entire party has completed their rounds. Depending on if your party ordered multiple starters and takes time to finish their temaki, this will limit your total time.

Our primary server took his time in coming around, so this also delayed our ability to continue ordering as we liked. We wanted to order drinks, but he took so much time to come by that we decided it wasn’t worth it. We also had our waters refilled a total of two times during the entire 90 minute period and had to flag down our waiter more than once for assistance. There was only one chef working for most of the time, but he was taking care of everyone also ordering temaki (ranged from 6-11 people at different points). We also observed the chef taking orders directly from a party sitting at the bar, whereas we were waiting for our waiter to come by to take our party’s order. This naturally delayed the process. Our orders were forgotten multiple times and my friend didn’t even get her last starter. Our waiter did come by to let us know we were nearing the end of the 90 minute period and he specifically said he’d come back to take our final orders. When he did come back, he notified us that the 90 minute period was over and he would be giving us our checks.

The seaweed was soggy and the rolls were very densely packed with a lot of rice. Overall wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t amazing either.

For those thinking the temaki takeover is a great deal, just take it with a grain of salt. Depending on your serving staff at the time, it really might not be worth it. Seems like there are other reviews with a similar experience with the staff. There is an automatic 20% service charge automatically added to the bill, so perhaps this is the reason for poor service. Pros are free parking and the restaurant has a lovely aesthetic.

For background, I went with a group of 5 for their unlimited temaki (and starters) experience.

When we first came in, it was just us at the bar + a table of 2 in the dining area. Which, we truly only noticed bc the service was s l o w.

You have 90 mins for the experience.
- there is only 1 sushi/temaki chef, even when the entire bar filled. Another chef would occasionally come to help. Unsure if it was only 2 chefs total (1 back, 1 at the bar), but it delayed your orders —- esp since your entire group had to be done with their hand roll prior to placing in additional orders.

- there was a couple next to us, who would interrupt the only sushi chef at the bar (while he was placing our hand rolls on our plates) to place their orders —- and instead of deferring to either 1) the server or 2) waiting until after he was done serving our group, he would take their order.
- which, to be fair, the server would not regularly check in with the diners about their orders, so I understand the pressure to circumvent the server and go straight to the sushi chef —- bc you’re on a time limit with again, slow service.

- subpar service continues when they serve you water at the beginning —- and no one checked in for more water until one of the people in our group asked one of the food runners.

- the service was so slow and unevenly distributed that the sushi chef noticed we were not being attended to and asked one of the food runners if anyone had taken our orders.

- our server came back, told us he would wait until our hand rolls were finished to check in on us, and then when he checked in on us, told us our time was up (no 15 min warning, just done).

Now onto the food, it was great! The quality of fish, the quantity of hand rolls you can fit (if you’re vigilant), is well worth the price. The biggest deterrent, as I’ve seen throughout other reviews is the service.

I usually don’t mind an included 20% tip (mentioned prior to the beginning of the experience and on their website) but this one felt like proper service/attitude/attention is not a priority.

I was very excited to try this place but as a restaurant that specializes in hand rolls I’d expect them to be better than below average. Was very dissatisfied.

1. They need better Nori. No crunch or structure for hand rolls causing them to fall apart and sogginess!
2. Too much rice, which also causes the hand rolls to fall apart
3. The sushi chefs are too focused on stuffing the roll sometimes less is more. Lacking flavor.

Other than the handrolls being a disaster, lacking flavor and structure I really enjoyed the edamame bisque and tomato appetizer. Service was also good! Beautiful atmosphere, good service, bad handrolls? I hope you guys can improve so I can give it another visit.

Not worth the price or the hype. The food was less than average and our server didn’t check in for a long time, so we couldn’t even order a drink besides water. The sushi chef at the bar was slow and the quality wasn’t great. For three dollars maybe, but eight dollars for a small hand roll? No thanks. I won’t be coming back.

We went to the cafe area afterward and they charged eight dollars for a small matcha that was also just average. I honestly don’t get why TikTok is so hyped about this place. I’m starting to think they paid people to promote it. The atmosphere is cute, I will give them that, but that’s about it.

Feel victim to the fake ATL influencers on this one. So underwhelming, everything was subpar. Nothing great. Will never go back or recommend to a friend. It was obvious even the staff didn’t like the food or want to be there.

Top notch on absolutely everything about this place! The food was super high quality. Had an amazing Classic set, matcha latte and matcha croissant for dessert. Love it and can't wait to come back!

Cuddlefish at the new High Street development is a gem and a super trendy setting. Restaurant serves exceptional sushi and other dishes / hand rolls and has a great selection of Sake. The attached coffee shop is incredible, serving expertly crafted drinks (Coffee & Matcha) that rival top-tier cafés. Their pastries surpass most traditional bakeries, with fresh, innovative flavors with a Japanese twist to some. This spot is a must-visit for foodies seeking quality and good vibes. RECOMMEND.

I’ll give this on average a 2 star.

It was a very weird experience overall. Drinks were OKAY at best, service was terrible. Workers seemed annoyed and didn’t know how to run a business???

It literally took them 35 min to make my drinks? Also no Splenda? The workers seemed like they didn’t know what Splenda was, I asked the self proclaimed cafe manager if they had Splenda or sugar free alternatives and she told me she doesn’t know what that is and she’s “ just the cafe manager”. If you’re a cafe manager how do you not know what a sugar free alternative is. Honestly the owners need to hold their “managers” to a better.

I hope they figure it out soon! I would’ve loved to come back but the experience was terrible!

Tucked away in the suburbs of Atlanta, Cuddlefish is a dual hand roll restaurant and aesthetic pastry/coffee shop. For a sushi and sweet treat lover, this place is heaven!

The sushi restaurant itself touts a made-in-front-of-you model as you order your hand rolls. These were delightful with a side of a drink or just casual conversation. The non-alcoholic Apple Sidra was amazing, and I recommend it with the matcha. Don't knock it until you try it.

The coffee shop is in the same building and pastries can be ordered to your table. Dangerous!

We were there for a weekday late afternoon lunch, so there were only a few seats and service was still a bit slow. However, we had a great experience and will absolutely be back when we're in town!

Unique twists on hand rolls that are all very flavorful. The tempura and fried chicken nuggets are also a treat.

I cant speak to the coffeeshop, but the hand rolls are delicious. I do wish the plates were bigger because it is messy.

After visiting the cafe twice, I really doubt I'll be coming back here again.

The service is painfully slow, the cafe staff are almost hostile, and the coffee and matcha is so overpriced for how average it is.

Firstly, It takes 30+ minutes to get two drinks. So even when there isn't much foot traffic, a crowd of people starts to form. They don't call out names or numbers for any of their orders, and it doesn't seem like they're made in any particular order so good luck figuring out which drink is yours.

If you try to clarify that an item on the counter is yours before taking it (because again, no names, no receipts on the drink, truly nothing to know what is yours), be prepared for the barista to be genuinely confused and irritated that you are speaking to them.

By the time you've get your order, all of the five tiny ice cubes in your latte have almost completely melted.

The staff at the cafe really takes the whole experience to the next level. On top of paying $7-$8 for a 5oz half melted latte, you're treated like you've shown up at a strangers home and demanded that they make you a coffee.

When you get to the counter, the staff just stares at you and says nothing!! as you place your order. They seem so annoyed that you're there to begin with.

After all of this, the drinks here are barely average. I've tried the tiramisu latte, the jasmine matcha latte, and a regular iced latte. The snacks are actually decent, the scallion croissant was pretty nice. But at the end of it, you're so fed up that all of it seems like such a waste of money.

So yeah, consider saving yourself the time, the money and the trouble of coming here to experience this humiliation ritual because that is truly what it feels like.

Saw this gem recommended by a local foodie and discovered it was right near my office and so I had to check it out. I went for both dinner, got 4 handrolls and I went midday to try some of their pastries and coffee. They have so delicious and creative coffee creations, the tiramisu latte was delicious! The chocolate hazelnut croissant was double baked so it’s crispy on the outside and soft and flaky on the inside. They warm it so the chocolatey filling is so gooey! The pastry selection is awesome and I hear you should come early to get more options and they have different options and varieties per day. I can’t wait to come back and try more!
Also as far as the temaki, they are fresh and delicious with a ton of different varieties I definitely recommend checking it out! They have temaki takeover, which is unlimited handrolls for 90min on Monday’s and Tuesdays only. I’m excited to try that as well. Service is great too and the restaurant is adorable, very clean, trendy vibe as well.
