The food was good, we had eggplant parm hero, sausage and peppers hero, Italian chili and portobello and cheese hero. The biggest disappointment was the lack of Italian pastries. I don’t consider slices of cake and cannolis an Italian bakery … especially on March 19th …the feast of St. Joseph.

Authentic Italian style Deli. The Cannolis here are the real deal! Nice crispy shells with a creamy filling. The Capicola sandwich (Sam's hero) was delicious. I would love to go back and try more.

Got a tiramisu cake from here and it’s the second best cake I’ve ever eaten, only second to my mom’s homemade cakes. It was delicious and the price was good too so I’m definitely coming back.

I've been frequenting this hidden gem since I stumbled upon it back in 2013 and regret that it has taken me so long to write a review. I used to live in Dunwoody but now live in Alpharetta and hike all the way over to E 48. for lunch! Being from NJ as soon as I walk in, it reminds me of home. Not to mention, the Augello family is lovely and Charlie is always there to greet customers with a smile! Hands down the BEST cannolis I have had in my life. I used to order trays of the mini ones for my students back in the day...they are filled fresh to order and super crunchy (which I like). Their red sauce is THE best and their eggplant casserole is too! Finally, the subs are also on point. Please note, weekends can get busy so get there early or during the week. Always a lovely visit to E. 48 Street Market.
