Phenomenal customer service! The food was also delicious. We had 2 pizzas and cloud 9 wings. Atmosphere is fun

The server was polite, but unfortunately quite inattentive. We had to ask for water at the start, and even then it took a while to get it. I specifically asked for no tomatoes on my pizza, but half of it still came with tomatoes. I didn’t complain, because I understand how exhausting the end of the day can be for staff — but it did affect the experience.
The biggest issue was the split bill. The server mentioned she didn’t know how to handle it on the machine, which is understandable, but in that case, the manager should be involved right away. Thankfully, Charlie (the manager) was very kind, cancelled the incorrect payment, and processed it again correctly.
However, when a restaurant makes multiple mistakes in one visit, it’s usually appreciated when they offer something as a goodwill gesture — even a small one — instead of just saying sorry. I overlooked the other issues, but this last one really turned what should have been a nice dinner into a frustrating experience.

This review is directly addressed to “Sly Character” aka Dunwoody Karen.

This Karen, who was a drunk sitting at the bar, felt it necessary to go table to table and tell everyone she had kids and would never let them act this way and I agreed with her that in normal situations, no parent lets them “run” around the restaurant. However, as she pointed out, it was spirit night and there was 60+ kids there…not running around but walking to other tables eating food and socializing with their friends.

Thank you Mellow for allowing us to host spirit night at your restaurant. I hope it brought great revenue to you and tips for the hardworking servers.

Giving a 1 star review and hurting a restaurants reputation shows your level of maturity and does not reflect the community of Dunwoody; the place you have called home for 18 years. I look forward to the opportunity to dine with you in the future, but in the meantime, might I suggest just picking up a 12 pack and eating at home so you don’t have mid range food and service.

I go here often and I would say the food and service range from not good to really good, with the average coming in a mid+.

The ambiance is about what you would expect for a Mellow Mushroom, but this one occasionally hosts spirit nights, where they basically invite some organization, usually a school, to eat there and they donate 10% of the receipts to the organization. That is all well and good. But this place basically allows a free for all for the kids, I mean kids are literally running through the restaurant bumping into other patrons, screaming at the top of their lungs. I mean its compete chaos and completely unfair to diners who were unaware that Mellow had been transformed into Chuckie Cheese for the night.

At minimum they should warn non-spirit night customers what they are in for and let them make an informed decision on whether to dine in or not. They could isolate the wildness to the backroom or the patio, but this place isn't that thoughtful or respectful to their normal clientele.

You would think the management of this restaurant would care more, I mean someone is going to get hurt. I saw a kid bounce off and elderly gentleman and he almost went to the ground. Or a kid is going to slip on the notoriously slippery floors and get hurt. Do better Mellow!

Great spot for pizza!!

The Host’s energy was infectious.

Katherine’s customer service was absolutely outstanding , as she was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we sat down.

The Sangria was fantastic, ad it was refreshing, well-balanced, and packed with flavor - no alcohol.

As for the Vegan pizza, it was decent, yet did the job. My Sister enjoyed her Holy Shiitake pizza.

Overall, the experience was elevated by Katherine’s thoughtful and friendly service.

I ordered take out..it was ready when I got there...and the staff was very friendly

Natalie provided outstanding service during our meal at Mellow Mushroom. She was not only attentive but also incredibly personable, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. She had a great knowledge of the menu and helped us make choices that turned out to be perfect. Her timing was impeccable—she was always there when we needed something but never hovered. Her warm and upbeat attitude made the experience even more enjoyable. It’s clear she takes pride in her work, and it made a big difference in our visit. We’ll definitely be back thanks to her excellent service!

Natalie was an absolutely amazing server during our visit to Mellow Mushroom. She was incredibly attentive, making sure our drinks were always full and checking in frequently without being intrusive. She had such a friendly and welcoming demeanor, making us feel right at home from the moment we sat down. Natalie also gave great recommendations from the menu, which we really appreciated. She was quick to bring out everything we needed and even anticipated things before we asked. Her attention to detail and positive attitude truly elevated our dining experience. We couldn’t have asked for better service!

I've driven past Mellow Mushroom lots of times because I didn't know what it was! A friend had told me she had the best pizza of her life there so I went to check it out and the food did not disappoint. The crust on our pizza was so good and truthfully my mushroom soup was one of the best I could recall having. We also got some beautiful salads and enjoyed amazing customer service. I would highly recommend!

Kid-friendliness: My kids got some wonderful pretzel diapers with apples slices and were so happy. It was also a comfortable restaurant; lots of seating, sports playing on a TV in the corner, and service was very fast.
