I'm use to sitting at the bar and dinning at the Buckhead location and receiving friendlier and more attentive service. Matt was none of those and Donte was exceptional. I prefer the Buckhead location.
The dining room was so cold it almost made one of my favorite restaurants unbearable. Food and service was still good.
Never been to The Capital Grille before but heard so many great things about it. Unfortunately, I did not have the best experience. I made a 530p reservation, about 2 weeks prior, for their Wagyu & Wine special. My mother is a hamburger connoisseur!! As I was leaving my house to make the 45min commute, I received a phone call from the hostess, letting me know that she'd like to apologize, but they were sold out of the Wagyu. It was 4:41pm!! Dinner service just started!!! I decided to go anyway because again, I've never been there. Get there and there were several others, waiting in the foyer, that were talking about the Wagyu special being SOLD OUT. We sat down ordered some drinks and placed our food order. The bar seemed a bit understaffed as there was just 1 bartender to handle the bar, service bar, the hi-tops, and the booths (in the bar area). Our apps were brought about 7-10 min after we ordered. Our drinks (2 glasses of wine + 1 mixed drink) took 30 min. The soup was cold and the calamari was just room temp. The bartender, Donte, was able to get us another soup, fresh and hot. When our entrees came, the lobster crab cake was just lukewarm but we managed. I hate to send stuff back. Too bad I could not avoid sending the burgers back... They were ordered MR and MW (slight pink). They both came out Well Done. Mind you, these are not the Wagyu burgers...they are the regular burgers from their lunch menu! The bartender was clearly apologetic and offered a dessert. We ordered the apple tart and it unfortunately did not land either. The ice cream was way too sweet as if it was laced with too much caramel or toffee. The crust was bit soft and un seemed underbaked. I truly think that the bartender had a lack of help from the waitstaff. Our food staying in the window, getting overcooked, because while he's making drinks for the restaurant, I don't think the servers were too interested in running bar food they see in the window. Been there!
I will miss the Waygu burger and wine pairings. Last night it was the mushroom and swiss cheese burger done to my liking and a very delicious Orin Swift Palermo Cabernet Sauvignon. Hope they bring it back soon.
There were 5 of us who attended the Wagyu and Wine Fest at CG. As always, it was a great dining experience. My family always go several times during that promotion. It's always a pleasant dining experience Stephanie, our server, was tremendous. She was very accommodating and pleasant. She added a great deal to our dining experience. We are big Capital Grille fans.
We had a great experience from the moment we entered into Capital G. for lunch. The hostess was engaging and very friendly. Our waiter was knowledgeable and very friendly. He was very attentive and checked in often. The food, cocktails, and wine were amazing. My husband loved the wine and wagyu burger. Great experience!
I would've enjoyed my food a little warmer but it could've been a hiccup. The lamb chops and the service is A1!
Sat in the Bar area at a High Top and the service was outstanding!!! The Lobster Bisque and the Fried Lobster Tail were PERFECT!!!
Great location and good service. Enjoyed a dinner there.

Our server Drew was good. The squash soup was brought out at room temp and my Scallop and lobster and asparagus risotto was very bland. No flavor at all. Also, the Parmesan fries were just okay.

Always a good idea to dine at The Capital Grille - great service, great food, and great atmosphere.
Great food and service. Andrea provided excellent service. Will certainly request her when we return.
Errol was our waiter, he was awesome and very attentive and contributed to the enjoyable experience we had. The food was excellent from the Calamari appetizer to the Porterhouse steak and Crème brûlée dessert.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Perfect Celebration at The Capital Grille – Dunwoody, GA We recently celebrated my mother's 93rd birthday at The Capital Grille in Dunwoody, and it could not have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, the staff made her feel so special — greeting her warmly and decorating the table with birthday confetti and a card signed by the team. The attention to detail and genuine kindness made the evening unforgettable. Our server was exceptional — attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and truly invested in making sure the celebration went smoothly. The food, as always, was outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection — from the tender filet mignon to the perfectly seasoned sea bass. My mother especially loved the lobster bisque and the decadent chocolate cake they surprised her with at the end of the meal. The ambiance was elegant yet comfortable, and the team went above and beyond to make the evening feel personal and memorable. It's rare to find a restaurant that combines such impeccable service, extraordinary food, and heartfelt hospitality — but The Capital Grille in Dunwoody does it effortlessly. We left with full hearts, full plates, and so many wonderful memories. Thank you to everyone there for making my mom's birthday so special.
