The food here is amazing! I was shocked at how delicious everything was.

This place opened recently, I believe it was less than a month when I went. I met some ladies for dinner. We sat outside on their patio because the inside was too loud, crowded and hot due to the cooking. It was hot outside too, but thankfully they have fans that are going to keep you cool.

I believe since they are a new location, some of the service is not 100%. We witnessed a server’s tray of nachos accidentally get hit by a kids hand. But it wasn’t the servers fault.
They were a little slow at brining things and the silliest part of their menu was the “nachos and salsa”. The salsas are already on the table, which don’t have much in the containers, and the nachos took forever to come out. But the price for just nachos seemed a little much, especially with the quantity you get. Now we didn’t ask for more, so maybe they would refill it but I doubt it.

I ordered 2 tacos: the ribeye and Baja fish.
Both tasted really good, but the filling was pretty light. Not filling at all and I am pretty small, usually 2-3 tacos fill me up. I felt like I would have needed to order about another taco and maybe an appetizer.

Our waitress was okay, she made some of the people in our party feel like she didn’t hear them. I would have recommended that she repeated the order when so many questions are asked. Someone in our group asked for no cilantro and she “wrote it down”, but still came with cilantro and had to send it back.

When you pay, the waitress hold the machine while you pay. I don’t really like that. Hand it to me and let me make my decisions versus showcasing it for the group. And their tip automatically starts at 20% or maybe higher. And goes to 35%, but you can customize it is you want. I selected the option of printing my receipt but she never brought it to me.

Everything was pretty average, nothing I would come out for again since this wasn’t close by. But if you live around the area it worth giving it a shot. Hope you have a better experience!

Mediocre tacos as most have mentioned. I only came to check it out due to an instagram influencer, wish I checked the reviews prior. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t a must try either. We tried a few different tacos (al pastor, campechano, lengua, baja fish) and their esquites - would recommend the elote vs to esquites (didn’t drain the corn, way too much mayo).

The food is great! The service was great! But if you want a cup of water, or a straw, or a knife, don’t come here. They only serve bottled water. When you ask for a knife, they can only provide a plastic one. And when you ask for a straw, they say they are “straw free”. Love the hypocrisy of only bottled water and plastic knifes but being “straw free”. The food and service are great but you can find compatible at places that also offer a glass of water, a straw, and a knife.

The food is 5 out of 10 - a bill for 4 was 168 with no alcohol. Which is fine but I was expecting better.

I wish it weren't true. The food was overpriced for what it is, by far. $6 tacos that are mediocre at best. The brisket might as well have been boiled pork chopped up. The ribeye was basically beef bacon it was so crisp. You pay for chips...makes no sense. The music is so loud you really can't talk without yelling. There's no water, you have to buy bottled water. And the thing that really put it over the edge for this review was the bathrooms. The ladies went and came back to the table commenting how disgusting they were. So I investigated the men's room. I have seen cleaner port potties at the end of a music and food festival.

The good news is they can fix it. They have so many staff members...I'm talking what felt like 20+ people in that tiny restaurant. They can lower the price by being more efficient. Make better cook decisions. Actually make a taco with fixings and sauces. (These were street tacos). They can turn down the music to a pleasant decibel. Maybe redirect the staff to clean the bathrooms. And serve water... certainly they use water in the back to cook, clean and wash...share with the rest of us.

Rated 1 star for credit card fraud, 4 star for food.

Be careful of ordering over the phone because somebody used my credit card info to make a fraudulent charge. The food is good otherwise.

I called in the store, a guy picked up, I asked to order takeout, the phone was given to a female who said that I needed to provide credit card info over the phone. I've done this at other restaurants before, wasn't exactly thrilled about it, but did provided it anyway. Later that night, I looked at my credit card bill and there was a charge of $1500+ to bestbuy.com less than 1 minute before charging the food order. I immediately called the credit card company to dispute this claim (sucessfully).

The next day I called and spoke with the manager Alex and told him what happened. He said he would look into it with the owner and review camera footage and get back to me that day, but I haven't heard anything back in over a week.... (Who knows how many other people are affected? ? ? ?)

Otherwise, I ordered a campechano burrito (good) and the papas muchucadas (good, small whole potatoes, crushed, lightly seasoned) and they were good and would try again.

Order online.

Edit: Also posted on Yelp for exposure, changed food rating to 4/5

Tacos, Volcanoes and Botana was not that great in taste.
Will we come back again? Definitely not.
First thing, employee was rude when he seated us.
Just wasn't great from the start.
Price on the food was not reasonable because tasted horrible. Even the sauces provided was terrible.
I will do a favor, don't waste your money here.

I decided to try this place because it was almost 9pm and everywhere else was closing soon. I saw they were open until 11pm!

I’m so glad because the food was phenomenal! I took it to go and all of them were seasoned well, tender, and pretty great portions! I will return often!

Carne Asada, Ribeye, and Chicken!

Delicious tacos my only gripe is the little teeny tiny amount of salsa they put in the cups. Even if I ask for three salsas it’s not enough because of the tiny amount and they don’t give them all to me anyway. Would be better if I could either pay for more salsa to get enough so that my food is how I want it or if they had a salsa bar it would be perfect.

Tacos were great. Service was okay. Atmosphere was really bad, very loud music.

I visited with my family, including our infant and toddler, and unfortunately, the experience wasn’t what we hoped for. The moment we walked in, we were overwhelmed by extremely loud music, it was nearly impossible to hear each other. The indoor seating area is quite small, and with the volume so high, we knew it wouldn’t be suitable for our family.

We asked to be seated outside, where the music wasn’t quite as overpowering, and noticed other families with small children had the same idea. However, it was still uncomfortably loud. I politely asked the hostess if the volume could be lowered outside, but she responded that they couldn’t find the button to turn it down, which was really disappointing.

We had high hopes that this would become a regular family spot for us, but sadly, it just wasn’t a good fit for a relaxed family outing.

Don’t go with small children.

We started to head to a different Mexican restaurant and saw this on the way and decided to stop. I'm so glad we did. Everything was delicious! The fish taco was great and I especially loved my mezcal margarita. I think the price matches the value, especially compared to some of the mediocre options in this city. I can't wait to eat here again!

If you’re in the mood for tacos de trompo similar to the ones you find in cdmx, look no further! This place is SOOO good!! The corn tortillas are delicious and the churros and chocolate sauce are the bees knees! Omg don’t get me started on the agua fresca de pepino, what a delicacy! I was super impressed by Wahaka and highly recommend checking it out for yourself!💜
