The only reason this place is in business is because Luke’s is closed. Server was nice but food mediocre and they were out of things early on a Friday night! Poor planning and/or management.

My wife and I were disappointed. We went out for a kid-free date (never get to go without kids) and thought we would give the place a shot. The folks running the place are very friendly and kind, I will say that much. That alone doesn't make a good restaurant or food though. We ordered the beef tips and steak skewers with cheese grits. Not sure what the difference between the skewers and beef tips really is, because I think they're both just dry seasoned pieces of beef cooked the same way. I had an extremely difficult time chewing the beef tips and swallowing them. The mushrooms and onions were seemingly cooked without any butter or oil; bone dry and raw. Additionally, the beef tips were served in two separate portions like 10 minutes in between. My grits were ice cold and I really mean that, the cheese wasn't melted on top and they had probably been sitting out for a while. There were only a few people there so I'm not sure what was going on with the wait times and difficulty in the kitchen was about. Lastly, there was poop on the toilet seat and the bathroom was not clean on the floor. Not a big deal to me in most situations but at location that serves food, I would expect clean bathrooms that are poop free. We won't go back.

Dietary restrictions: Not dietary restriction friendly.

We ordered food to-go on a Friday night. The phone line was busy, so we went in to order and waited an hour for our food. The servers were kind, but they didn’t do a great job. We ordered two different kinds of wings and asked for extra blue cheese dressing. They only gave us 1 dressing total for 20 wings, but the wings were inedible so we didn’t actually need the extra sauce. The chicken fingers were decent, but not worth eating. We got one burger, and it was good, but we built our own and ordered bbq sauce, lettuce, and onion rings. They barely put any bbq sauce on it, and the lettuce was old. Even our kids who love take out wouldn’t touch anything except the fries. This is our second time here since it reopened, and we had a bad experience both times. Not sure we’ll give it another chance at this point. Maybe we’ll just grab burgers one day. They would be worth having again.

My wife and I went by the advice given on Google reviews. The Cheeseburger was awesome. We were able to sit in the covered patio with our dog Coulter. We plan on returning a few more times this weekend.Update Oct 17, 2023My wife and I had several meals over that same weekend. We were not disappointed. I really enjoyed having brunch with them. I was looking forward to a second cheeseburger but I saw the Philly and decide to try it. Since that turned out to be an excellent idea, I opted to just go through the menu list on our 3rd and 4th visit. We wil make it a point to stop by Eighty-Five on our next long weekend.I don't want to forget to mention to awesome service. Everyone was super friendly.

Great food and service. I only gave four stars for atmosphere bc it can get a bit loud, but that's just bc it's popular.

Went here on a lark it's a pretty good place for bar food. Wifey got the burger and egg rolls I made a mistake and ordered the fish and chips and oyster Rockefeller. The waitress was doing her best, but she forgot the oysters until after the food came. So.... The fish was... Meh. The fries were good. The oysters were pretty meh. The horseradish... And the cocktail sauce.. Well. I've had hotter Ketchup. Overall we went it's bar food. If you are into it cool.

Wow, super disappointed! The philly cheese steak was literally just ground beef and the fried pickles were just a giant mess of limp pickle chips and dough. Not even really edible and forget about dipping them in the sauce. The sweet potato fries are cut so thin that you don't even really have any potato and they were very underdone. 100% not worth the hype and no, we aren't even picky about our food but this is ridiculous. Thursday afternoon 10 mins after opening! Terrible for $56!!

My boyfriend and I just left. My fried shrimp was awful...no breading and soggy fries. My boyfriend only had oysters that were quarter sized and we had to pull over so he could vomit before we got home. Those oysters were bad! We usually enjoy coming to listen to the band and this is our first time eating here and our last . Server was very nice.
