It’s called Chili Dog, it should be called Canned Chili Dog. The bun tasted a little stale, the chili tasted like something out of a can, and the cheese burger tasted like something that could be made at home. If you are going remember to carry cash because if you don’t they pass on through credit card fee to you. Not a place to go out of your way for.

This place doesn’t look like much from the outside but that alone tells me anything I need to know about a restaurant. We were immediately greeted by the friendliest staff and given recommendations based on what they like themselves. My husband isn’t much of a breakfast person but one of the ladies working didn’t give him a choice (in a loving way of course) and made him try a butter and jelly biscuit that he absolutely loved possibly even more than my homemade biscuits we were visiting from Alabama but will definitely add the chili dog to our list of places to stop in and eat when we pass through Elijay. Fast, affordable, and delicious!

We really enjoy finding local places to eat when we travel and this is one of the best places we've eaten at. We were told by a local to try the Philly cheesesteak from here. We ordered some Philly cheesesteaks and a steak melt. They definitely didn't disappoint. Our 15 year old daughter, with a smile on her face, said that her cheesesteak was one of the best she's ever had. After finishing lunch, we went outside. Another local man pulled up to the restaurant and thought we were waiting to go in. He said we had to try the cheesesteak, to which I replied that's what we ordered and it was great. Definitely check this place out if you're in town. The only con is that they have no restrooms, so you have to go to the gas station next door to use the restroom.
We stopped in and had hotdogs and hamburgers. Both the chili slaw dog and double cheese burgers were very tasty. Staff was very friendly. If I lived here I would certainly enjoy eating lunch frequently here for sure

BBQ and hot dog joints cause me to pull over. Chili Dog was great. The dogs themselves were properly cooked, plump and had a nice snap. The chef completely understands that chili and slaw for dogs are a completely different recipe than for sides. The chili contained finely ground meat, had the desired vinegar and mustard twang and was properly devoid of beans. The slaw was chopped super-fine and also had enough flavor and crunch to let you know it was a star ingredient. The only thing that would make it better would be to put a bit of steam on the buns before serving. Not too much to make it mushy but enough to warm the bun and soften it just a tad. The ambiance is PERFECT - it feels a covered porch attached to a food truck!

OMG OMG OMG This Place was so amazing!! a coworker that came to my vacation home to fix a water issue recommended this Little Gem and we are so happy we came !! so cute putaide of it and awesome fire too keep you warm by the tables!! BEST CORN DOG EVER!! , Massive and so tasty !! Funnel cake fries were spectacular and the Burger though ... Aiiiiyyy yayayayaiiiii ... The slaw dog was so good too!! a chili cheese dog .. we really came for brekfast but got there after 11 am so we had lunch and wow so happy we did!!! but at least we got to try the BEST melt in your mouth cinnamon bun Ever also!! Melt in your mouth!! wish you were in Miami!! Would love to come back for the breakfast sandwhiches! will def come back !!!

Read about this little "dive" and decided to check it out. It is really not a dive, sure it's not an upscale millennial magnet, it is a hot dog stand that offers seating. When I walked in, it was around lunch time and I wasn't sure I would get a seat, but I did manage to get one. The crowd was a mix of construction workers, business casuals, and a cute older couple who seemed to know everyone. They had the heater going, so it was comfortable. I knew I was in for a treat when I ordered my chili dog with sauerkraut, and they asked if I wanted the kraut grilled. Well, yes I would like that grilled. I sat close to the older couple and was soon engaged in conversation, they didn't know me and I am not from the area, but that didn't matter. A short time later my order was up. The dogs are not the thin bun sized type that seem to be so popular. No, these were good old fashioned, thick and juicy dogs, that didn't taste smoky or too salty. The chili was delicious and the grilled kraut was excellent, and quite filling. This place is easy on the wallet, service was friendly, and the inside was clean with no frills. Will definitely stop by again when I am in town again.
Went for my first time and I couldn’t have had a better experience! Everyone visiting Ellijay should try this place, breakfast is amazing and the burgers are great. Even got to try some apple pie cinnamon rolls, that were delicious as well.
The chili slaw dogs were just average, and the fried pickles were probably frozen. It was just okay.

If you’re near Ellijay, you have to eat here! We had lunch one day (Philly cheesesteak) and breakfast the next. Both were delicious and great prices too. Definitely get a cinnamon roll.
