I feel two stars is the only way to make a legitimate review given the scenery however it starts and ends with that. Definitely worth the drive up to walk across the back patio and snap a few pics, it’s truly beautiful. I hate the staff and management don’t share the same relaxed spirit that the scenery allows. They are quick to defend the dogs allowed policy but take offense when someone brings up no children allowed as a negative. I believe the surrounding mountain towns thrive off of vacationing families and most of those include visiting with children (and possibly pets too). I’m not sure who decided to put dogs over kids but that’s their policy. I think families just need to understand it’s a true no child,no infants, no anyone under 21 rule. I think consideration of an adult only patio but a child friendly establishment could go a long way. In the end we found the wine is not worth the babysitter fee so again go enjoy the view but I’d say spend the day with your entire family at an establishment welcoming of all. Sadly we found the staff to be extremely unwelcoming which did not add to the overall experience. This review is based off of the wine vs babysitter decision , we had been warned about the child policy so we knew to leave the babies at home, unfortunately the wine just didn’t hold up to wasting an afternoon of vacation on a babysitter or being apart as a family. As they point out in every review there are many wineries welcoming of families, I suggest supporting those wineries.

We love this winery and came every time we were in Blue Ridge. We recently had a baby and were in town as a mini vacation. What we didn’t know is Roo does not let babies in (anyone under 21). Which is odd if most wineries and breweries do. Sadly we won’t be able to come here anymore due to the policy.

We enjoyed the views and wine. Tried the Collection flight, then split a bottle of Merlot. One of the more expensive wineries but they offer a nice wine selection and the food is tasty, too!

The view is stunning. The wine was way better than other places we’ve been to. The charcuterie was gorgeous and scrumptious. The turkey club was HUGE and so good, enough for two people.

Roo is the best winery, love coming here!

View is incredible! Wouldn't recommend the Syrah, get the Cab or beer.

Absolutely SPECTACULAR views of the mountains while enjoying some great wine. Such a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with friends!

Roo Vineyards is trying a little too hard to be Napa, but it just doesn’t land. The setting is undeniably beautiful—gorgeous vineyard and tasting area—but the wine was underwhelming at best. The names of the wines were over-the-top and felt more like a gimmick than something tied to quality. With so many great local wineries producing excellent wine, Roo was a definite miss for me.

Dogs everywhere. If you're not a fan of weaving through golden doodles and Labradors lounging in walkways and barking, skip this place—or at least leave Rufus at home. Between the underwhelming wine and the canine chaos, Roo Vineyards felt more like a dog park with a wine list.

Wow! The view, food and wine were fantastic. Came for a girls birthday trip and we had such a great time. The views were so lovely.

I don't do a ton of reviews but wow! This place is awesome. One of the highlights of our trip. The sparkling wine was so delicious and the perfect pairing to their Charcuterie board. It is BUSY, so prepare for that, worth the wait though. I love that it's dog friendly (leashed). We will definitely be back on our next trip!

Marvelous time with great friends . Unbeatable view and incredible venue.

The place has amazing views, excellent food, great wine, and the servers are great. The issue is the wait times are horrible! You have to stand line for 30-40min for a glass/bottle of wine. If you order food expect to wait 1-1.5hrs for a sandwich. In my opinion, they need more staff in the front of the house and back of house. Second time here and will probably the last. It’s too frustrating to get anything. Fix it.

Absolutely beautiful!! Service was helpful and friendly. Cannot bring in your own food so ordered lunch. Overpriced and not so good. But the wine was excellent only surpassed by the view
