Brought my family here from out of state. Well, all I can say is idk how this place has been around for so long. Absolutely disgusting greasy food. Straight from a can. I guess these small towns don’t know real cooking. And half of our tables food was cold. Like ice cold. 0 stars. Won’t be back

This is like if southern was a restaurant. This is it. The sweet tea is damn good. It doesnt taste unsweet like western sweet tea, and its insanly good. the food is incredibly, INSANLY good!

First visit since the remodel and we're loving it. They were super busy today, but we were seated very fast. The food and service was very good.

We are visiting the area for a week and have driven by this place a few times and noticed how busy they stay. I'm not sure what the draw is because the food was just mediocre. The restaurant is attractive on the outside but the inside looks like it hasn't been updated in 60 years. That is not a problem because it was pretty clean but it's not drawing people in so the food must be INCREDIBLE! Well, my wife ordered the meatloaf, Fried Okra, Mashed Potatoes. I ordered the Country Fried Steak, Mac n Cheese, and Green Beans. The meatloaf was pretty good and my wife said her sides were pretty good. She had a few stringy pieces of okra but that's not unusual. My plate was void of flavor. The Country Fried Steak was very well prepared and tender. The breading was nice and crispy, but it just didn't have much flavor. The Mac n Cheese had little flavor and no texture, like it was from a can or severely overcooked. The green beans were pretty good but even the corn bread was flavorless. I can't imagine people are coming in droves to experience what I did. It seemed to be full of regulars so I'm guessing I just made the wrong choice. I should have ordered the fried chicken! The service was very fast and everyone was very friendly.

so they deleted my previous review, but went for breakfast, we got seated pretty quick. We ordered our breakfast and waited 45 minutes for our food, once getting our food it was cold and enjoyable. the people behind us ordered and got theirs in less than 10 minutes. do not recommend.

Awesome food, awesome service, and great ambiance. The food is to die for, I got the BEC biscuit and a cinnamon roll and it was absolutely amazing. Would go again.

Doug's Place is an iconic restaurant with a long history of providing great food and service. One of the few places left where you can get a proper southern breakfast, just like Grandma used to cook. You can't go wrong with breakfast or lunch at Doug's.
