Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We visited the Cracker Barrel in Evans Ga and our experience was exceptional. The food was hot and prepared well as one would expect. The best part however was the attitude and consideration of our server, Madeline. It was clear from the beginning that she cared about our experience and was attentive to every detail. I so appreciate someone who works so hard to be the best representation of themselves no matter what they are doing. Cracker Barrel, Evans Ga, should consider themselves blessed to have such a conscientious server as they do in Madeline. If there was a fifth star, she would certainly deserve it!

We had some of the absolute BEST service from Annalise! She was definitely one of the most kind and friendly servers we have ever experienced and she made the entire experience simply wonderful! My kids loved her too! Husband says best server since he has been in Georgia!

We have eaten at Cracker Barrel in Evans on Saturdays for almost 10 years now. We always ask to sit in one waitress’s section. She always gives great service and even knows our breakfast order by heart. On Saturday, 8/30/25, we planned to get our normal breakfast order and due to the changes with Cracker Barrel, we will no longer be able to customize our breakfast orders.

Secondly we always order grits with our meals. This time the kitchen staff told our waitress no grits would be available for 1 1/2 hours..yes that’s what I said…11/2 hours. We couldn’t believe what we were hearing.
1. It does not take 1 1/2 hours to cook grits.
2. Why would you let your kitchen run out of grits during the breakfast hours? Very poor management in my opinion when grits are a staple for breakfast in our area.

We ended up leaving without eating and went to the other Cracker Barrel in our area to eat. This made us feel really bad for our favorite waitress because she did nothing wrong, but lost the tip she would have earned due to the poor management of the restaurant.

Additionally, surely I am not the only person who may feel this way—why change the menu so much when there are probably many more “regulars” such as myself and my wife who may no longer enjoy the same meal we looked forward to every Saturday. The breakfast menu now is very limited and seems as though it is trying to appeal to a certain age group.

Very disappointed in our visit to the Evans, GA restaurant on August 30th and DEFINITELY disappointed in the menu changes.

Silver ware that is given to us one only had a knife and one had knife and fork but the knife was dirty.I went back to get replacements which.no better.Took for ever to get our meal waitress did not keep us informed why it was taking so long.when she did bring us our meal I asked did biscuits come with the meal.She came back later with them.Had to ask for napkins.Food was cold.This was at the Evans. Ga Will not go back

Caydence our waitress was AWESOME!!!! we ask the host to change our table. Cadence with no hesitation as cleaning a table, told the host sit them where they would like. I will come to them wherever they're. She was very friendly!, humble. My great aunt loved her, I did to her personality was the sweetest.

Worse experience ever. How does the waitress forget to put your order in and bring food Luke warm an hour later. Last time eating this restaurant.

Justin was our waiter and was fabulous. As always great food at a reasonable price.

I love the option to join the waitlist on their mobile app. Sometimes (not this time) they can be extremely busy and the wait can be quite long. The waitlist option is a game changer in whether or not I'd eat at Cracker Barrel.

It seems every time I go to one of you stores the place has just run out of the fried chicken. Either this is a lack of managerial planning or the cook staff is too lazy to prepare it. It's hard to believe no matter what location I go to they're always just out. I've even spoken to the managers on old Belair road and the ones on north bel air road in the Augusta area. I really don't expect much to come of my correspondence since I have voiced this complaint before

Food was good, only hiccup was waiter had to be told about the food they was forgotten after that everything wad good.
