Good place to eat
I frequent this place often. I've had the chicken, fish, shrimp and ribs. They've all been good. Good flavor and all juicy. Their sides are good too. I've had black eyed peas, green beans, lima beans and collard greens. All sides are flavorful and just taste fresh. Highly recommend.
Really good southern food. Place looks clean. Service is good. Prices are good. Everything about this place is great! Portions are generous and the flavor is on point. Recommended for a casual barbecue. A lot of meat and sides choices
Good venue with good selections for meats and sides. Roasted pork loin was good but ribs were awesome. Good, tasty collards. OMG the peach cobbler! Plenty of inside seating and wait staff that takes good care of you.
I've never had a bad meal here! Goolsby's is one of my favorite places to eat. When my sister is in town, she loves to eat here. I am a local regular and will be back over and over!
Great experience. Goolsby's has been voted the best family restaurant in Augusta.
A meat and two sides. Excellent options.
This is gotta be one of my favorite southern food joints since moving here. The food is really really amazing the fried pork chops or something. I definitely recommend the peach cobbler is also very delicious. The staff is really really friendly. The restaurant is really really clean inside and outside. I definitely recommend Goolsby’s for anyone coming in the area. Trust me, you will not regret it.
Oh. My. Gawd. This place is amazing. The bbq ribs, pork loin, tilapia, the selection of sides, and that peach cobbler, you can't make a bad choice here! Casual atmosphere with upscale cuisine and more than fair prices puts Goolsby's in my top 5 in Augusta, GA for years.
Parking: Goolsby's shares the free parking lot with a dozen or more businesses in the same shipping center, so parking can be a bit difficult during peak times like lunch (11AM - 2PM) and some holidays.

If I could rate this zero stars I absolutely would. The disrespect towards mothers is appalling. I understand it’s a Sunday and they are busy so they don’t want people sitting at tables. However, as a mother with an infant it’s not the easiest to stand in line and wait, so I went to sit down while my husband stood in line to get our food. I was told we could not sit at a table while my husband stood in line (mind you there were plenty of open tables for customers to sit at). If they told a mother this, I’d hate to see how they treat an elderly person who can’t stand in line. Needless to say, we will never be back or support Goolsby’s in any way shape or form.
Great friendly service with really good country style food. Ribs are sooooo good.

I usually go to the Wrightsboro Rd location, but they were temporarily closed.
The server seemed determined to give me the smallest portions possible, for some reason, and they only had 4 pieces of bone in chicken left. I thought they were drums instead of legs because of the size, and the woman acted as if she did me a favor giving me all of them, but when I sat down to eat I noticed they were dry and hard.
They didn't cook anymore either.
I really prefer the newer location.
