This was interesting. Came in on a Monday afternoon, normal dinner rush. We were sat right away by a host that didn’t speak, just threw up hand gestures for a “greeting” asking how many and pointed to the direction of our table. Best part of this was definitely our server, she made up for the lack of friendliness from the host and was super sweet. I think she was also our bartender for the evening but I’m not sure. Ordered a featured drink from the menu, an immediate no. It was horrible and I hate to be that harsh, but you could tell it was built and probably had an old base(the green tea). It was also in an ALL PURPOSE GLASS oh my goodness and had hardly any ice in it. We had the fish and chips and chicken and waffles. Fish was cooked fine but the batter itself was off putting, it looked like their oil was old and it wasn’t really seasoned. My man had the chicken& waffles which honestly was %80/20 chicken/waffles 😂 not the usual complaint but it was odd to look at. He said it was very dry and didn’t have much flavor. I couldn’t help but watch the host walk around the restaurant CONSTANTLY putting his hands in his pockets. I know he might not be directly serving food, but im sure he’s running food when he’s asked and it doesn’t look good. The stars are for the service, food was far below coming back for.

Excellent food and good service. A little loud, but that’s part of the ambience. It was March Madness on most of the TVs!

Went with some friends for lunch. I’m vegan, so I ordered the pesto pizza with red sauce and mushrooms. The menu states that the pizza comes with arugula and spinach. As a daily salad consumer, I’m very aware of what spinach and arugula looks like. When the food arrived, I informed the server that the pizza had mixed greens instead of what was listed on the menu. She replied, “yea you said no cheese so it just has the lettuce”. I don’t like to argue or send food back, so I just didn’t eat it.
I still had an entire pizza in front of me when she came to bring the checks. I was a bit disappointed that she didn’t try to take the initiative when she seen that I did not eat the pizza and after I had voiced my displeasure.
I still paid for the pizza and left a tip, though my group was upset and state they will not be returning.

Visiting from out of town and this was my first time eating here and it was absolutely delicious!! Everything was wonderful. Fresh made pizza dough. I didn't even take any pictures. I just enjoyed everything about this place. Highly recommend stopping in and grabbing a bite.

Our first time trying this restaurant. Very laid back atmosphere. Everyone was so friendly. We all tried something different and everyone loved their food. We also had desert. We will definitely be back.

We have only dined at the bar, but I can testify that the service there is outstanding! We usually get pizza and truffle fries because they are just so darn good. Great beer selection is a big plus. The atmosphere is very much like a local pub that you would call your own. I highly recommend Ironwood Tavern to anyone.

Terrible service from the manager and his server wife. Should be so ashamed at how unkind they are.

This is going to be a long review. If you have a gluten allergy/ sensitivity please make sure you read this review.

Tonight, I took my best friend and my mom out to dinner. We called ahead of time to make sure they had something my mom could eat because she has celiac disease and it affects her neurologically. We sat down at the table and asked our waitress if we could have the gluten free menu and she said they didn’t have one even though when we called earlier whoever answered said they did. Instead of my mom causing problems she just ran into Publix and got something to eat. (Gf bread, cheese and gf lunch meat). After she made her food we notice our waitress and another one looking at our table shaking their heads and laughing. When the waitress came back and I asked her if this was a problem and she responded “well this definitely unusual” and “we don’t allow this”. So I responded that I didn’t want my mom to chance eating here and having to call 911 from her having a seizure. Instead she shrugged her shoulders and continued to be extremely hateful. At this point, my mom has tears running down her face because she’s never been treated this way. I asked for the manager to
Come over hoping I could deal with someone more professional. Unfortunately that didn’t happen instead he started smiling and saying that he doesn’t allow this either with his cocky attitude . So I told him how serious it was if she did get exposed to it. He absolutely didn’t have a single care. We have been at high end restaurants in Augusta and never been treated this way. Normally the servers feel bad that my mom has this. At the end, there was no point in trying to explain because we were being treated so awful. I said you know what get our tickets we will just leave. The manger then so very rudely says to us “we’ll make sure to leave on the review you didn’t let me talk” we definitely gave him a chance. But I will not let anyone be cocky and laugh in our face for a disease my mother can’t control. Both the waitress and manager need to be looked into because there’s no way anyone who runs a business would talk to people the way that they did tonight.

Also, If you don’t want to risk a law suit for people who are celiac educate yourself because you could seriously hurt or kill someone just by the lack of knowledge. It would also be helpful to you to post a sign that no outside food can come in because I’m sure theirs been parents who bring their kids something in.

Visited on Saturday February 22, HORRIBLE SERVICE WILL NEVER TRY AGAIN SIMPLY DUE TO THE MANAGER DAN ON DUTY! I could give the food a try again because yes STUFF happens. But that kinda of manager needs to go!!!! He could have cared less about our experience from the bar drink that was not drinkable (because they forgot the pineapple juice 1 of 3 ingredients) to the steaming Gouda Mac and cheese that had literal ice in the middle to the Pizza that tasted and looked like it had been sitting and was simply reheated. Sent all our food back except then appetizer. And cancelled our to go order…. Dan literally came to our table stood there and stares at us until
I said do you need something and he laughed and said you wanted to see me…. I replied well with all the mistakes I would have thought you would have wanted to check on us, but no OK. He then proceeded to say it’s just cold Mac and cheese we can make you another one and laughed it’s just Mac and cheese…..Then one’s done and cancelled everything. PAID FOR OUR DRINKS AND APP, TIPPED THE WAITRESS AND LEFT…….

Good selection on menu to pick from. Simple, direct or typical things with some added originality. Maybe it’s best to order their pizza. Everything else we tried seemed to be a let down. Asked for something spicy and just got more peppers, can’t seem to know how to add spice to the dish? Salad was the right size for the cost. Other things just seemed to be small portions for the price.
