Great place to eat

I know of a guy who says he is treated like a king when he goes to this restaurant but apparently the rest of us are treated like a peasant when going. Luckily I know how to cook my own food but sometimes a person wants to try a different atmosphere and it doesn't pay to go out and have a miserable experience. Leaving a tip when you are barely checked on is a gift. Just think... I could have saved those few dollars and bought a pack of crackers and a soda and stayed at home.

The red headed white women who should probably lay off the mexican food herself, doesn’t need to be working with the public. Extremely disrespectful and speaks when she isn’t being spoken to. Tell her to shut up and to maybe stay out of the a and b conversation and C Her way out

My lunch was sparse, flavorless and very disappointing. Family member's food was ok and plentiful. Not as good/average as it used to be.

Compared to the north Augusta location this one falls way behind but it is still one of the best Mexican restaurants period.

First time i have been to Monterrey Mex and it was great! Our party of friends totalled 10 people with the bill split between 3 groups. I was sure our orders were going to be brought to us mixed up or incorrect somehow from our order. Not because of our server (who was fantastic) or any other employee, but we kept altering our dishes with different options than what the menu listed, changed our minds when someone else spoke their particular order, and all around very confusing for myself to follow. So I expected our meals to be somehow wrong from our own indecisive unintended sabotage. But every plate was served exactly to order for every weird & picky request we had. Our server was an absolute boss, with top shelf professionalism and an award winning smile to match. I would absolutely recommend Monterrey Mexican Restaurant to anyone, and i will definitely be back soon.

Two Vegan Friendly lunch items
I chose this location as they could sit a group of 30 together for lunch. Beans and flour tortillas contain no animal products. Ordered the veggie fajitas with no cheese, no sour cream and a bean taco for Taco Tuesday. Staff was great, they immediately started taking beverage orders as people came in. Everyone enjoyed the chips and salsa. Unfortunately, they brought mine with cheese on top so it had to be returned to the kitchen, but most other orders were correct. Everyone liked the food and with these vegan options will probably start to visit away from work events.

Vegetarian options: Only 2 vegan options. Make sure they know vegan means no dairy because even explaining that dairy on a vegan item was still served.

Ordered chicken enchiladas. There was a huge pice of plastic inside my food that I didn’t know about until I was chewing on it. Told the manager about it and he acted like it wasn’t a big deal and said “it’s ok, things happen”

Loved our dinner! Delicious margaritas, shrimp ceviche, quesadilla mexicana, Chile relleno with chalupa, and black beans. So delicious we ate it all!! Great service! Love
