Great local spot
The atmosphere is fun and date worthy with tarot cards at the table. The vegan options were innovative for a mexican restaurant and tasty. Unfortunately I ordered a clearly labeled gluten free combo and my taco came with a flour tortilla. Dangerous mistake, luckily I am not allergic.

The way I discovered this place was because I tried and loved their chicken tacos at their food truck at Rivefront Nights. Both me and my son (who is a super picky eater) devoured an order and wanted more. I waited in line for 30 minutes and raved about them the whole time. So as you might imagine, I was stoked to try their brick and mortar location. Sadly, it was a BIG letdown. I ordered two orders of 3 chicken street tacos ($11 per order) and didn’t know whether to order shredded chicken or grilled chicken. The young man I ordered with told me grilled chicken was his favorite. When he gave me my receipt, I noticed that there was a $1 up charge per order for the grilled chicken, even though nothing was indicated on the menu about there being an additional charge. I was a little irritated but paid for them without complaint. But when we got the tacos, they just weren’t very good. The chicken texture was kind of weird, the flavor was mediocre, and they were kind of lukewarm. After paying over $30 for 6 chicken tacos and a Jamaica agua Fresca (which, to be honest, was kind of disgusting), I expected better. Do yourself a favor and go to Taqueria Jaliscos instead. It’s cheaper and so much better! Or find the food truck tied to this location (El Taco Boss?). Or just eat here with low expectations.

The street tacos are delicious. The space has limited seating. The service has always been good.

We were greeted promptly when we entered the restaurant. The decor inside was nice and it had a cozy feel. We sat outside on the patio which has nearly as much seating available as inside the restaurant. The tortilla chips and salsa were delicious. The tortilla chips were light and fluffy not just store bought chips. We had margaritas, which are available in many flavors, in this case a fantastic pineapple flavor. They can serve them on the rocks or frozen. The food and service were both quick but not rushed. We really enjoyed our meals and the experience.
