J&J's B B Q Barbecue Restaurant

I've been going to this BBQ shack for 30 years. I haven't been there in 3 years and went back over today, boy was that a mistake. This place has gone to the dogs, there's a reason they only accept cash no refunds and besides avoiding taxes. This is the worst bbq I've ever tasted as a matter of fact it tasted like feral pig full of every known disease. I will take the 21.00 lost for this chopped up mess that went to the dog but will contact the IRS Monday morning to report the only cash payments and the health department to report my suspicions of the feral pork being served here. People this stuff was put in a blender and chopped up and swimming in water with enough sauce on top to chock a maggot. Stay away from these crooks, you'll be better off eating Anywhere else.

Ambivalent kid clearly didn't want to be there. The stew was "meh", the pork was a cup full of dry crumbs that didn't have a whiff of smokeyness to it and tasted like it had been left in the bottom of a stale fridge. Took a couple bites and threw the whole pound of meat in the trash. Not enough sauce to save it.

I have eaten there for years I have moved to sc and I still stop every time I go to Alabama to get the bbq sandwich and a quart of stew and years I mean maybe 40 cause I'm 48

This place looked so great, I was really excited to try it. But wow, it was probably the worst barbecue I've ever had, and that covers dozens of restaurants across Texas and the southeast over a period of decades. The meat was ground to a pulp, and premixed with a gallon of sickly sweet sauce. I was so nauseated after half the sandwich, I gave the rest to my dogs. Maybe this place was once good, but today, head up to Newnan for Oink Joint, or down to Lagrange for Country's.
