I recently had the chance to visit Atlanta Hwy Seafood Market, and it didn’t disappoint. Located in a convenient spot, this seafood market feels like a hidden gem for anyone in search of fresh, quality seafood. When you walk in, the atmosphere is casual and straightforward — this isn’t a fancy dining spot, but rather a no-frills market where the focus is on great seafood.

What I liked right away was how fresh everything looked. From the shrimp to the fish fillets, you could tell the quality was high. The staff were friendly and willing to chat about the best options for whatever I was planning to cook. It’s clear that they know their seafood and are passionate about providing quality products.

I ended up picking up a mix of fresh oysters and shrimp, and I have to say, they were excellent. The shrimp were juicy and flavorful, perfect for grilling or boiling. The oysters had that fresh brininess you want, and were perfect on the half shell.

The prices are reasonable considering the quality, and it’s a great spot if you're looking to pick up some seafood for dinner or special occasions. They also had a small selection of sauces and seasonings to complement your meals, which was a nice touch.

Not quite what we expected. The fried shrimp was fresh and pretty good. I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw... Tasted like it came out of a jar.

We visited for the first time tonight and were blown away!!! I got blackened and fried shrimp with collard greens and fries. My husband got the fried catfish po-boy and the gumbo. We also sampled the seafood bisque. I really can’t put into words how delicious everything was! The staff is amazing!! 100% recommend you check them out! We are already planning our next visit!

Ordered the catfish platter with hushpuppies and fries. Everything was fried well - the hushpuppies and fries were crispy and not overly seasoned. Initially, I liked the catfish, it was a tad under seasoned, but light, crispy, and fresh. After I got home, I kept thinking, something was missing from the catfish. And, then it finally hit me. The catfish was missing the distinctive catfish taste. I believe that the catfish was actually Sawi. Why lie and sell customers catfish and charge catfish prices? Just say its Sawi.

So happy we decided to stop here! The food is fresh, well seasoned, wild caught and the service is great. Everyone was friendly including the other guests. We had a catfish po boy, calamari, hush puppies and the gumbo. All SO good. I would def drive an hour from the city to have again.
