Quirky hole in the wall type place. Really convenient distance from the hospital.
Reasonable prices and food was tasty.
The only complaint was that the coffee wasn't hot enough.

I had a wonderful experience during lunch, and it was extremely convenient to be in the heart of Gainesville. Finding parking was a breeze, which is always a relief. The restaurant offered a large selection of options, and I was pleasantly surprised when my food arrived quickly. The chili was flavorful and comforting, while my salad was incredibly fresh. The chicken sandwich was warm and seasoned just right. This place has a great local vibe, and the friendly staff made my visit even more enjoyable. Overall, it's a lovely restaurant that truly seems to care about its customers.

I just ate here today for the first time. It was great! If I could double my review to 10 stars I would. Guys, keep doing what you are doing! Also STAY AFFORDABLE, please! I do not know another place this close to the square to get affordable good food. I had the thai steak sandwhich and a salad, my buddy had a reuben. We are both the critical type. bread, crutons, tomatoes, etc. all seem to be at least average or above. The meal as a whole especially the bread, was easily above average. GCS is a new favorite for me. Keep up the freakin awesome I experienced today! see you guys next time!

This was my first time eating here and would like to give them another chance but after what i saw leaving I can't! I waited about 20 minutes for them to take my order then another 15 or 20 to get my food I had to switch it to to go and didn't check it before I left I ordered a bacon scrambled cheese biscuit with well done bacon and cheese grits I received a sausage fried egg so under cooked it had slimy white stuff coming out of it a piece of my sausage looked like it had been bit off of and the cheese grits were so scorched I had to throw them away as I was leaving the cook to his gloved had and sped it in something to put on the grill then licked his gloved hand and then continued to grab someone's bacon with the same hand and continue cooking! Unacceptable I don't care how short handed you are!

I hate to leave bad reviews. The food is great don't get me wrong but had thr worst experience today with taking my grandma for breakfast.

We sit down and it takes 15 mins before our food order was taking, we was the only two in the restaurant besides 1 other person and 3-4 workers behind the counter.

Then another 20 for our food to arrive to table. The delivery driver was using loud foul language, grabbed some home fries off the grill with no gloves and helped his self. The cook came to the dinning area blew his nose, grabbed a bag of chips and processed to grab some gloves and continue cooking without washing his hands.

Props to our female waitress who was very nice and brought our drinks.

I love the coffee shop and never have had a bad experience until now. This is highly not ok.

I hate to be the person who complains. Just know, I never do this until I’ve given someone the chance to make it right and they slip on that as well. Coffee shop has always been a good option. Ordered at 8:30 this morning for delivery for myself and coworker. Breakfast sandwiches and grits. Pretty simple. Didn’t hear anything for 1.5 hours and was told delivery guy got caught in traffic. Called around 10:30 to just cancel and Instead of being offered lunch since it’s now lunch time or even a free breakfast for another morning, it was just too bad for us.

Best breakfast I’ve ever had at any restaurant here in Gainesville hands down. Amazing prices too!!!! We got delivery and it was very fast and he was very polite. I’ll definitely be coming here for breakfast now!!!

I ordered food here from UberEats. First, the name of the restaurant on UberEats does not match the actual Location, on UberEats it is named “Breakfast Beauties.” The pictures of the meals on UberEats is false advertising, most likely taken from another restaurant’s menu display ?
I got the steak, egg and cheese sandwich; the picture on UberEats displays a steak patty (like McDonald’s Steak Bagel) on a high risen bun. I received a Philly Cheesesteak style sandwich on flat whole wheat bread from Food Lion.
I understand times are hard, economy is down, and the country is sitting on a flat with no spare; but if we move with honesty, integrity, giving the people what they expected and paid for, the business will franchise.
Lastly please put at least 3 Ketchup packets in every to go order with potatoes.

This is a place where you almost feel like you’re walking into 1963, great food, prices that really leave you scratching your head how they do that, historic and warm vibe, you can’t help but love it.

This spot is great especially if you want something to eat that is yummy and fast. Chicken salad sandwiches are great. Cuban sandwich is good too and I have had their Philly also great and their side salad its filing . the only thing i didn't like its their soups. mainly broth with out flavor. their chicken and rice soup I don't recommend. But everything else is good
