We are here on a weekend vacation. Our airbnb recommend coming. We enjoyed everything we got! 2 smoothies, 2 peach muffins, apple spice cake, chicken artichoke quiche and a cinnamon bun to go. The young lady who ran the cash register was super sweet.

Having sampled a couple of slices for lunch with a friend which we both loved, I ordered 2 whole quiches for a family brunch last week. They were absolutely delicious and a hit with everyone. I asked if anyone would like a leftover slice or two to take home (thinking maybe a few would want some & leave the rest for me!) - everyone lined up! None left for me!! Oh well, I'll just have to go back and get a slice or two for myself, along with a piece of the apple cake which is just heavenly! Don't miss out on this gem of a place to eat in or take out. P.S. my location shows up as San Francisco, CA...not sure where that came from??!! I'm in Oakwood, GA.

My sister in-law took me there for breakfast and it was wonderful. I took home some muffins and one cinnamon roll. My husband said it was the best he had ever eaten. Love this place and will be back. ❤️

I am so sad to write this review. I have been looking forward to eating at the Colored Egg due to all my friends and family raving about this place. We showed up at 12:15 on Friday afternoon. I ordered the quiche...they were out! OK, so I ordered the chicken salad sandwich...they were out! I looked to the pastry bin...only 3 scones!!! Nothing else!! So I went with the Turkey Sandwich. They were OUT of chips!! So I ordered a soup thinking they wouldn't charge full price since they were out of chips.NO that did not happen. The worst customer service I've seen in a long time. My friend and I got the last two diet cokes. $21.00 later...and a sorry excuse for a sandwich. They literally had 2 slices of thin turkey on them. I will have to say the soup was really good. However, we left very hungry.
I love going here. I look forward to a return visit. This place has a cool design.

Skip the fast food and historic square breakfast options and drive the extra 3 minutes to the best tasting breakfast in town. Professional chef high quality fresh grade food with the warmest, friendliest staff I have encountered in Georgia. Relaxing open sitting with recipes that put Momma’s or Grandma’s secret family recipes to shame. Accommodating and cozy.
