Went to this restaurant with my husband for lunch. Would be the first time we tried Dominican food so we were excited. However after getting our meals I found a gnat on my hard, chewy steak and my husband was given rice scraped from the bottom of the pot as it was partially burnt to a crisp. In our language we call it "la raspa". After such a bad experience and paying well over what the food was actually worth, we never went back. I like to think honest feedback helps future customers and current employer/employees make better decisions. Hopefully, ours is the only bad experience and best wishes to El Caldero.

We liked the food, Rocio was super attentive, Im giving her 5 stars, however, we would give 5Stars to the place, but first time we get charged for water with lemon, la picadera mixta le faltó longaniza, como recomendación, el bistec guisado estaba delicioso. The strawberry juice was watery and very sweet.

Food was horrible, no presentation nor flavor! I order a Churrasco which was cold and hard, my husband got some chicharrón and they were super small and flavorless. Order two, margaritas and they were watered down. Don't know if because we came on a weekday they didn't have their best chef but I will never go again nor recommend it to anyone. They're food, service and drinks should have been superb since they were not busy at all but it was beyond mediocre, such a shame for anyone who's having Dominican food for the first time to think this is what it's like.

We both had the Fongo Max and it was great! Presentation was beautiful! I would have loved a little more of that delicious sauce, so I'd ask for extra if I were you. The ham and cheese empanadas were perfect; the crust was crisp but not dry and the filling was smooth and melty. The tres leches and cheesecake were the perfect ending. Definitely going back! I don't know what it was like under the previous owners, but it is going in the right direction now, for sure! Service was friendly and the place was really clean and inviting.
Great food, good pricing and great service!!
