Nice restaurant decor, great service. Plentiful selections on menu. Had a lunch burrito that sounded tasty. Food came out piping hot & plentiful however an ingredient listed on the menu which helped me make the decision to order that item wasn't inside the burrito. This was disappointing as mex beans are part of what makes the dishes so good along with the rice sides. The chips were fresh and the salsa hotter than most places serve. In general El Sombrero could have been better but worth a second visit to see if this was just a fluke experience. We'll see.Parking: Strip mall off enota drive with many spaces available.

Super friendly, fast and my order is always correct. Great prices. 2 adults 1 kid for roughly $20. Chips are always fresh and the horchata is the BEST!

Raphael, our server was rude and impatient. He acted like he was being inconvenienced to take our order. I got the Acapulco cheese steak. The steak was too tough. There was very little cheese and the onions were almost raw.

The food was amazing; as always. The service was awesome. They didn't serve what I normally order because it was their dinner menu, and I usually go around lunch. However, they were very accommodating, and took the time to help put together a unofficial dinner version. The atmosphere was fun and relaxing at the same time. There was a birthday party being held in the next section that was just fun, too!The only thing I didn't like 100%, was parking. The Loco's customers like to use the 1st couple of rows in front of El Sombrero.Kid-friendliness: I've been going to an El Sombrero for around 27 years. After my son was born I would take him. He was addicted to the limes, lol! They would joke around and let him sit at the bar and "order" limes. He always had a blast. They haven't changed much. I still get the pleasure every once in a while to see different kids with similar smiles.

My mother and I went to eat here on 10/16/2023… worst mistake ever the food was old and cold when talking to the manager he agreed to make a fresh plate. He then went and sat the plate on the counter in the kitchen dumped more food on top (it was nachos) and placed it in the microwave, we said to not bring microwaved food to our table in which we were told that’s how they do it to make sure it’s hot (fresh food off a grill should already be hot). They admit to microwaving food and are completely rude to their customers. I wouldn’t recommend anyone eat here. Also on top of it my mother had to pay for her food (they did not make me) and tried to overcharge her, everything she ordered on total would have came up to $12.85 and they tried to charge her almost $18. Since we complained and called them out on using old food and microwaving it we were told to never come back, not that we would, but this place should be shut down like it was before but permanent this time.

Very popular place, it gets crowded quick. Food is wonderful, staff is very friendly and professional and the restaurant is very clean. If you ever go during the general lunch or supper hour, though, you may have to wait a bit for a seat.Well worth the wait, though.

IF I COULD GIVE A ZERO STARS I WOULD. My burrito came out cold so I got the waitress and said “this burrito isn’t very good” and before I could even state why he automatically assumed I wasn’t gonna pay for it and started saying “you ordered it , you pay for it” I said “I am gonna pay for it, I had no intentions of not paying” but he kept shaking his head at me. So I just told him to get me the check and the manager. I’m guessing the waitress told him something completely different than what actually happened because when I went up there the manager was NO better. He said “you didn’t tell him what was wrong with it” even though he didn’t give me the chance too. he could’ve cared less. this was my first time here and I’ll never be back.

I went with my husband and order carne asada, fajitas and soup to go. It was the worst food ever. I order a carne asada vut requested the meat a little thicker wich the person that took my order said they can do it. They gave me the wrong order. The meat was a little pieces of meat that tasted old meat and ut has a lot of red salsa that tasted also bad the rice and beans were swimming in that sauce. Really gross! Also the fajitas were completely dried and cold. The food was old not fresh at all! I through away the soup because i did not trusted to even taste it after the other orders. I spent $39 on this food. We did not go back to this restaurant because we were already home. I do not recommend this place. What a waste of my money, my gas and my time.

I used to eat there at least 3 times a month. I was there about 2 weeks ago and it has not changed any that I can see. The food is still some of the best that I have ever had. The service is always excellent. The wait staff is always very nice and helpful. I think that the prices are reasonable also. I really like their Texas
