Very friendly staff, New England clam chowder was delicious! My husband and I got fried plates and they were really good too! First time, I think I would say, you get too many French fries, but hey….when are there too many of those 🤷♀️😂 one small thing, would be the dipping cups are too small, but hey, I worked it out, lol!! Very great place overall :)

I have driven by the Gainesville Seafood Market many of times when driving on Atlanta Highway, but never had the chance to try their food until recently. I came in on a rainy late morning and was surprised with the market/restaurant set up with numerous types of fish, shrimp and other seafood being showcased for sale. As I was looking at the menu and deciding what to order, one of the employees offered me a small plastic cup of their clam chowder to sample. The soup was warm and delicious without it being overly creamy. I thanked the man and ended ordering a fried grouper sandwich meal to-go. The sandwich came along with French fries that were fresh and seasoned well. As for the Grouper, it was quite savory and along with the Remoulade sauce on the side made for a tasty experience. Overall a good first impression for the eatery. Looking forward to try what else they offer in the future.

Seafood and a little mercado with a counter-service restaurant. My wife and I have been addicted to their soups. Cannot recommend the gumbo and chowder enough. You can get them hot in a cup/bowl/or quart and also frozen. The fish on display always appear to be fresh and of good quality. Despite what it is, it may smell of fish but it doesn't smell fishy.
Parking: Ingress/egress can be tough with traffic and depending on direction of travel.

This quaint little place is a gem! The workers are always friendly and the food is delicious! I tried the crab legs. They were very messy to eat because of the boil bag, but the flavor was great! My husband loves their clam chowder soup. 💕
