It used to be an awesome place for home cooking , good value , and great service at both locations . What happened? Do they have new ownership? The food has been less than our last couple stops and even when we ate inside the restaurant . Today we got home with our food and there’s was ZERO banana in their famous banana pudding ! It was basically something other than pudding congealed between a boatload of crackers. And, yes their banana pudding is famous !! It earned that title with us locals !! I’m not sure what happened over the years . We came home with three ! I hope the other two aren’t as scarce . And, the employees seem like they more bothered by taking and filling an order and they would be okay if we spent money elsewhere . Please again — know that Longstreet Cafe has been a staple for us for several years . The mac and cheese isn’t mac and cheese anymore it’s something either frozen or from a can ! We miss the warm feeling of being welcomed and the atmosphere of “family” dining and a “family” owned business . Again, I waited it out to see if we had hit an off day but several visits later and we are wondering what happened ...

I wasn't sure about a buffet but the food was outstanding and the price was really good! The biscuits arre very fluffy and good. The fried chicken is super flavorful. I recommend it for a quick stop for breakfast!

Food is OK but not as good as Riverside. However, it's the service that stands out here! And not in a good way. They need additional training from Ridgewood.

Decided to try but was not impressed. Food was greasy, flys where everywhere, it was hot inside, and I won't return.

My husband and I have been frequent visitors sometimes twice a week for years. My husband left his tumbler one evening and we had to go out of town. We called immediately and asked Justin to save it. When we got back into town we immediately went to get it and was told it had been over a week by Clemente which it had not. After a long wait it was brought out and not in the condition it was left. Parts were missing and it had been used because we had never put coffee in it and it was brand new. I have never been met with such rudeness from Justin who actually hung up on my husband when explaining what happened. He simply did not care and we were such loyal and frequent customers!

I had lunch there today. It was my first time to eat at this restaurant. The food was really delicious and the service was great. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to go back there soon.

Vegetarian options: There is a huge selection of vegetables and salad options.

Home of the soupy grits. Longstreet has great biscuits and a great breakfast, but the grits are like water. With the tiny spoons they give you, you'll drip grits all over. So eat them with a straw. It's strange because we're in the South here, where people are supposed to know how to cook grits.
