I never give a "one", but in this case I will do so. This is my very first ever, and they deserve it. This is an very established restaurant that should expect crowds during season, and the waits are always a minimum of 30 to an hour just to even get a drink - and no real great food, just poor bar stuff mostly. The pretzel reminds me of Racetrac. This restaurant has been operating like this for years. I do appreciate the owner's recent response; and I will be glad to update review once some updates and changes occur at the restaurant. I am anxious to see if they will put a fresh foot forward. But for now, the best bar and restaurant on the lake continues to be Twisted Oar - hands down.

The restaurant had an amazing view & live music. It is pet friendly. It was very packed & had to wait an hour just to be seated. Once we ordered our food, it came out fairly quick (was so hot & fresh). My fish tacos were so good, but the frozen lava flow topped it all. It was delicious!! It's a little pricey (expected). If I'm back in town, I'll for sure come back for a second round.

Had such high hopes and wanted to help this establishment with my prior review as they barely had any customers visiting off season. Team cannot handle normal traffic for a business. Even for a holiday weekend it was not that packed and simply what you should see at any successful bar/restaurant. Went to grab some food to go as I have done through the winter but this time the ladies who were so wonderful during the winter months that I was tipping 25-30% as I felt bad there was barely any clientele, had no friendly service interaction for me and told me "we are too busy". Huh? Not everyone in the bar area was eating. Dock-mates said I should have just sat down at the bar (Yes there was an empty seat) ordered food and then ask for a to go box. Was super hopeful but this rollercoaster from good to bad and mostly bad service for the past 4 years is ridiculous. Team needs training and to experience how other successful establishments deliver excellence on food and customer experience at the same time and how operating at capacity is really done in the industry. They are choking on their own incompetence and lack of experience. Thank goodness Pig Tales has reopened for the season!

We were passing buy and saw a small sign. We expected a small, old place with bar food. We were pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere was amazing for Lake Lanier. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was wonderful. The final great thing was that they are dog friendly!

Living on Lake Lanier and only a 10 minutes ride by boat, this place rocks. Always a great place for drinks and some Lake grub while stopping for fuel. Also the live music is a plus!
Tried to have dinner here tonight. Stood at the hostess stand for 15 minutes being blatantly ignored. I rent a slip at the marina and it’s great. But when we were at Hideaway Bay Fishtails was a place I could always get great service. Pelican Pete’s was a frustrating experience. Thank God for Uber Eats!
