Such an underrated and hidden gem! Food was incredible! The steak was cooked to perfection, the seafood was so flavorful. The service was wonderful and they were very attentive. The bacon wrapped scallops, stuffed baked potatoes and the dressing they use in their caesar salad are all definite tries! Oh did I forget the filet mignon because it was just *drool* worthy!I highly recommend giving them a visit and a try as you truly won't be disappointed, we know we will be back next time we're in Georgia.

Had reservations. Was seated..took order soon as got drink order because we knew what we wanted. 2 hrs later food comes out cold and under cooked. While waiting on food watched 4 couples walk out due to no service. Has went downhill since ownership changed.

The last 2 times we went there, we waited over an hour for food. Then when we got it, it was bad. Way too much money over 300 for such a bad experience.

We had reservations at 6:30. Arrived there at 6:15. They were 8 of us celebrating my daughter’s birthday. We ordered and was told they were waiting for bread to come out of oven. Brought our salads out and ask about bread again. 30 minutes later, we got bread. Waited a hour and half for our meals to come out. Was told the kitchen was backed up. Our meals was awful. My 44.00 T-bone which was suppose to be medium, was cooked well done dried out, barely warm. My grandsons got a chicken sandwich with nothing on it but a piece of chicken on a bun. No tomato, lettuce or anything else. To put it short, I wouldn’t give any of the food we got to even pigs. It was that bad. Ask to see manager and he never came to table. We were there for almost 3 hours. Other customers were also very unhappy. First time there and will definitely be the last.I usually don’t do reviews but I felt like I needed to.

What a waste of time eating there, 2 bugs on table and for every bug there is 50. Lady at front desk has no clue as to what is going on food has gone down and I give this place a 2 out of 10 don't waste your time or money folks.

Not impressed with our diner last night. My steak came out with a puddle of blood on top. I asked the waitress to please put my fries on another plate. She took my plate and recooked my steak, now it was leather. Such a disappointment for the price. The cheese on the broccoli was horrible and tasted bad. I could not even take anything home because I did not want it. Please tell your waitress that we don’t need our tea filled up 10 times during our meal. We could not even have a conversation because she kept leaning over our food to fill up our tea after one sip. We expected more.

Meal was just bad!I was here for a family members birthday. We’ve been here before and the food is normally fine…..not great, but fine. No one in my family had good food. The shrimp cocktail app was ok. Shrimp had no flavor but the cocktail sauce was fine. My salmon was severely overcooked and dry, with watery bland sides (broccoli and Cesar salad). My wife had a blackened fish dinner and it was flavorless. Daughter had bacon wrapped shrimp and they were ok but coated in a sticky sauce that was different (and worse) than other times we’ve eaten them. Even the kids meal burger was poor and fries had no salt. I’m sure the clientele is older here, but you still need to use salt! This meal was 150 bucks and not worth it. The restaurant is outdated, menu is outdated, and now the food is bland and bad. It’s time to put this old boy down or completely relaunch. I’ll not go back and convince the family member to a better location for the next meal.

Update as well...This was our first time here and what a wonderful gem it is. The atmosphere was fun and the staff friendly. Our server, Josh, went above and beyond go accommodate our needs and gave perfect recommendations. Their salad with the bacon ranch dressing was to die for and paired with their fresh bread made my wife so so happy. Their wings are the best in town and we are wing fanatics. This will definitely be one of our date spots from now on....only if Josh is our server though. Great job guys.Update:Went back for my 40th and my father 71st birthday dinner. We made a reservation and asked for Josh who had done such a great job last time. We were not disappointed. We arrived and we're seated promptly. He made sure we had good views of the Georgia game. He made great suggestions on food which I will review below. My family was meeting my wife's family for the first time and it was a great place to do it. We spent a couple of hours there from appetizers to desserts, which Josh brought me out a piece of cake with a candle and even some of their other desserts for our families to share. We had an amazing time and I will say again as I did after our last visit, we will be returning and asking for Josh.Ribeye- My father, a food snob, had the ribeye and loved it. He paired it with the eggplant Parmesan and was thoroughly satisfied.Prime Rib- My father in law and I had the prime rib and it was to die for. I had au gratin broccoli and a loaded potato and he had the potato and asparagus. We both were completely and utterly stuffed.Salmon Salad- My pregnant wife, not being able to eat steak, had the salmon salad after a regular house salad. She's addicted to the salads here with the garlic bacon ranch dressing.Cheeseburger - My son had the cheeseburger and I got a bite and have to say it is the best in town.Fried Cauliflower - Great appetizer covered with cheese.Bacon wrapped shrimp- Another great appetizer. So so good.Desserts- All amazing but the cheesecake was hands down the best.

Avoid! New ownership does not care about its employees or know how to run an restaurant. There is a 3% charge for USING A CREDIT CARD! Hello- this is a restaurant. Everyone uses a credit card. We had a great waitress and the owner is not supportive. We had a party of 12 and a reservation and waited over an hour for food. Poor waitress did all she could offering more drinks and bread but the restaurant is mismanaged and when we told the owner it was unacceptable he said "this is a steakhouse". No excuse. Some of the food was so dry it was inedible. Avoid! Avoid!

We ate there 10/28/23 and it was as good as ever. We always get there about ten minutes before opening so we don’t have to wait. A very nice gentleman came out and said that we were welcome to come in early. Our waitress was very friendly and courteous. Our salad with hot bacon dressing was as delicious as always. I always get a kabob and it was the best one that I’ve ever had there. I’ve been dining at Poor Richards since 1978. I’ve eaten there to many times to count.. It’s the same setting as it was back then. Quiet and comfortable and amazing food. I can’t for the life of me figure why people mention decor when rating a restaurant. Yes, nothing has changed since it was opened many years ago. That’s what I LOVE about it. They’ve kept it simple. The prices are VERY reasonable and the food is as delicious as it was when I first dined there in 1978. I would HIGHLY recommend Poor Richards for a quiet evening with great food. For you people who want to judge a restaurant’s food by the carpet on the floor. GET A LIFE!!!!

Ordered two medium rare $42 prime rib dinners. Not sure it prime rib, If it was it wasn’t close to medium rare. It tasted as though it had been microwaved. I didn’t eat mine and let the waitress know how bad it was. Her solution was to pass along my complaint. I chose to pay the $114 check with a generous tip as she was getting married in a few days. We have eaten there many many times over the years but will never go again.
