Lived in the lake for 5 years and this was our first time here - we will be back! Laid back atmosphere, very good food, friendly staff and just a good vibe overall. Less crowded than places farther south on lake Lanier which was a plus for us. Wish we had tried this place out sooner but better late than never. Only issue was docking our boat. Little tricky on what was a run down landing area where spots are tight.

Most relaxed place to have something to eat on the lake. Don't like to chill & sit outdoors might not be the place for you. Food is excellent, staff unbelievable!!!

This lakefront restaurant has some nice views, but the food is not that good and it’s expensive. I had the crab cake dinner, which was 2 crab cakes and 2 sides. I had broccoli salad and fried green tomatoes. It was $31 including the up charge for the fried green tomatoes. The crab cakes were stiff and lacking in flavor. They were primarily bread/cracker with some crab. The fried green tomatoes were unimpressive and lacking in flavor. The broccoli salad was tasty but swimming in dressing. Not worth the price I paid. We tried the banana pudding and key lime pie. The desserts were okay but not that memorable. Service was good. The restaurant didn’t appear to have any inside seating and the restrooms were in an exterior building a short walk away.

We went to Skogies this evening for the first time. And it was a terrible experience. The food was not good. Especially for there high prices. I got the crab cake plate $26 came with 2 side i got brussel sprouts not good and broccoli salad the broccoli was old and the crab was not fresh. My son had there patty melt ($18) plus $5 for a side of onion rings also nothing to brag about. My husband had the shrimp po boy ($23) plus $5 for onion rings. It came out plain with lettuce and tomato and didn't even have mayo on it. How do they justify charging $5 for a side dish. Our bill was $90 and im sorry it wasn't worth the price. So we will not be going back. Take my word save your money. Staff was very nice. But food was terrible!!! If your gonna charge so much for food. Please make it taste better!!

We're so glad that we didn't base our decision to try this place on the negative reviews! We just ate here on a Sunday afternoon and the food & service were both great! I had fried shrimp with sweet potato tots and the shrimp were very fresh and fried to perfection. I also had a Greek salad, it was very fresh & tasty!
My husband had fried grouper with brussel sprouts & fried okra. I kept stealing food from his dish because it was soo good!
Our server Juan was very kind and attentive! We loved the lakeside views also. This was also the first lakeside restaurant in the area where I saw diversity amongst the servers, male & female and all races. I love a place where everyone is accepted and it shows through the wait staff. Everything was perfect, we will be back soon!

Great place to just chill after a few hours on the boat, especially in August. Service was great and the atmosphere was definitely family friendly. The menu had a wide selection of items. I ended up with a grilled chicken salad and my boyfriend had the crab cake dinner. Both were tasty for sure.
Would love to have some fans outside under the trees, however the shade was super nice!
All in All, will definitely be returning!

I thought they had indoor seating. Honestly I should have left when I realized they don't. It was too hot and muggy to be outside. And fighting off the flies and mosquitoes is not my cup of tea. The food was nothing to write home about either. I ordered the crab balls appetizer. It was not good. I picked as much burnt off the outside as possible. I couldn't find any crab meat. They just tasted like burnt Hush puppies to me. Sort of like the oil was bad and needed changing out. I also ordered a house salad with grilled shrimp. It just was ok. As much as I paid I just expected a little higher quality. Together the bill was $38. The server was as sweet as could be and I wasn't in the mood to complain. I just won't go back.

Food was very mediocre. This used to be my favorite place to eat on the lake but it has fallen to the place i would eat at now. The menu changes really hurt this place.

Staff is friendly but always busy. They do their best to keep up. It's not the kind of place you want to go if you're in a hurry anyway. Sit outside, relax, and enjoy the food and view of the lake.
