I was doing some work for a customer in Gainesville and they gave me a pork sandwich and a piece of bone in chicken from Mikes. It was so good that the next time I wanted bbq I drove over half an hour to get some from Mikes! Great smoke flavor! I loved the twice baked potato casserole. We got some Brunswick stew and it was a little too spicy for my wife, so more for me!!!

I have never wrote a bad review before but I feel this is necessary. The food is good and I really like this place, however I was eating here with my family after my niece just won an event in Demerest. The owner or manager told us that we needed to have shoes on my niece which is 2 years old but also understandable, we fixed that with no hesitation. But the problem was the owner announce this for everyone to hear and then proceeded to apologize to other tables for rather our behavior or presence. What they should be apologizing about is how rude the manager is. Will not be back

I have enjoyed great BBQ all over the US and abroad. This is hands-down the absolute best. Even sides are just beyond comparison. It is quite out of the way for me...40 mins unless I am already in the area...but I make the trip and bring back enough to share.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm!!!! Welllll. Last time I went in about a week ago. There were so many flies inside the store. I mean A LOT!!! Easily a hundred. Now there is a lot of food being prepared, waiting to be ordered and just sitting out. Not sure if everyone knows but every time a fly lands it pukes or poops. You have some of the very very best BBQ around, but you can't have all those flies. It's gross. Won't eat here any more.

SMACKIN!!!! This BBQ spot is AMAZING!!!! The ribs, chicken, pulled pork are all delicious. Most of their sides are also wonderful. Portion sizes are enough to feed me for 2 meals. I highly recommend. They do not have seating though, it’s a pick up and go situation.

Delicious! We had the burnt tips, fall of the bone half rack of ribs and the Hawaiian chicken over rice. Sides were macaroni salad, fried cabbage and twice baked potatoes. The chicken was so juicy and the juice over the rice…omg…”chef’s kiss”. Everything was great! Large portions!
The people that worked there were helpful and everyone was looking to wait on us with a smile.

Smokin Mikes Meats is staying on the corner off of Price Road. They also have another location. They just opened where you can go and sit down and eat barbecue is conveniently located close to me which is great their barbecue pork plate they give you a lot of barbecue pork you will have leftovers. I just went there this evening and had their barbecue chicken for the first time it’s juicy really smoky has good flavor so compliments to the chef they also have desserts. I tried their blueberry cobbler. It’s pretty good. I live in Murrayville so if I want to go somewhere to eat, it’ll take me 10 or 20 minutes to drive somewhere or 30 minutes. Just depends on what I want so this is conveniently close to me if I want barbecue, it’s literally a short distance. The service is great, and the staff is friendly if you haven’t been by here yet come by and give it a try.
normally it’s ok for a quick meal because the location is convenient for me however not so much last night. I got a half pound of pulled pork and a half pound of brisket to make sandwiches and a couple of ribs bones. I was so disappointed with the brisket being mostly fat then the lean parts were dry and over cooked. I did call and they asked if i tasted it and expressed that’s how their brisket normally looks. For the record I have stopped in several times over the years but i have never had brisket that i couldn’t make sandwiches out of. This picture is my half pound out brisket.

Holy cow, this is some stupid good BBQ. This ain't no Arby's thin sliced. Mac n cheese piled so high it was pushing the lid. God im stuffed, can't wait to come back and try the ribs.
