I've heard nothing but great things about this place, but after three bad experiences here I have no reason to try again.

First time I came they gave our appetizer to another table, and never came to check on us. We had to get up from outdoor seating to go inside and see what had happened.

My second experience was with a large group of friends (7 of us) on a busy night. We were told there would be a wait and we had no problem. Some of our party sat at the few open seats at the bar to wait and the rest of us sat outside at the picnic tables. After waiting for 40 minutes and seeing other large parties leaving we decide to check back in with the hostess. She point blank said that she removed us from the list because the rest of our party left. We were literally outside waiting in 38 degree weather and the staff could see us through multiple windows.

Came here one final time and we were seated quickly. Our waitress had this stand-offish attitude the whole time, like it was a chore to serve us. 10 minutes after being seated they got our drink orders. One member of my party waited 20 minutes to get her drink, and had to go to the bar herself to remind our waitress that she ordered it. The same member of my party had to go to the bar herself again to order another. Considering there were only 6 other guest in the main dining area and the staff was visibly hanging out chatting with each other I didn't find there was a good excuse for this.

Our food was okay, and they didn't cook the burger to my request of medium but I ate it anyway. After our waitress had brought the bill she said she forgot to put one of the drinks on our ticket. I have no issue paying for what I ordered but, when the service is bad and I can visibly see you playing on your phone instead of making my drink I felt kind of insulted that she added it back after forgetting about it twice.

All in all it seems like the staff is just a bunch of kids who really don't care about service. I'm 0 for 3 with this restaurant and the food really isn't good enough to make you forget about all the other negatives. I will not be returning, and I recommend others take their business to some other great dining establishments in Gainesville. I find Kelly's Tavern has a similar kind of menu and price if you're in the mood for bar food/burgers.

Standard Service is an absolute vibe, and I say that as someone who is too old to get away with using that slang.

In all seriousness, my wife and I found this place while looking for some place new to try, and went there to eat tonight. Everything about the experience was top notch. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The food was plentiful and reasonably priced without sacrificing flavor. The drink menu had a lot of great options, and the ones we ordered were delicious. We particularly appreciated the use of cinnamon ice cream on the fresh peach cobbler.

Above everything else, we loved the atmosphere. Much of the time, you’ll see a modern restaurant try to retrofit some old business and put a trendy bar inside it, but it feels forced. This place just felt… right. The decor, staff, and music created an atmosphere we look forward to enjoying again. The crowd was a mix of young and old, couples and families and singles all just enjoying the… vibe.

Anyway, where other places seem to try really hard to emulate comfy cool… this place feels like the place those other places are trying to emulate. Highly recommend.

This is such a chill place with fantastic food and service! We tried it out of curiosity today and will definitely come back! I'm pescatarian/vegetarian and had plenty of options to choose from on the menu. Portion sizes were generous, and the food quality was excellent!

The food here was so good my husband and I were very happy with our orders. Get the Brussel sprouts!!! Henry, our server, was also kind and very quick.

I went in with a cousin to celebrate my birthday with a comforting brunch. We sat in the bar and both ordered mimosas with a side of breakfast tacos. Everything from the food to the bartender attending us was top notch! I am definitely coming back!!

If I could give this place a 0/5 stars…I would. We were SO hopeful for this restaurant because of the photos online and the descriptions on the menu - but gosh were we wrong once we arrived. From the second we walked in, the vibes were OFF. Every single person we came in contact with (including the hostess) either had an attitude or truthfully…didn’t want anything to do with us lol. Except our waiter (red hair and glasses guy!!!), who basically rescued us because the woman at the bar wasn’t paying attention to us when we sat down.

As people watchers, we were just observing all the staff members because each one that passed by looked either super annoyed or upset about something. There were no smiles at all, which was kind of concerning but we also found it entertaining because it became a game of “let’s figure out what’s going on behind the scenes.”

When the food came out, my order was incorrect and when I brought it to their attention - our waiter was at first kind about it and brought it back to the kitchen, then immediately came back out saying it was actually what I ordered (when it wasn’t). Then after showing him it wasn’t, he brought it back to the kitchen again and then said “SORRY FOR THE GASLIGHTING”….which I mean yes thank you for the apology and the acknowledgment but by this time - I think we were all just done with the experience in general. I couldn’t even finish my fixed burger and seeing how expensive this place was after the total was paid, you would expect wayyyyyy better service than what was given. 😔

Perfect date place- Unique in both appearance and menu. Offer both healthy and homey options. The peach cobbler dessert rocked! Not much parking, unless you go next door.

Cool vibe, slow service, got our order wrong. Don’t go here if you’re hungry. Took 15 minutes to get drinks(water) another 20 minutes waiting on chips and queso dip. We ordered philli cheese steak sandwiches. They came out not cooked to order. The waitress was nice, the food was wrong and we were there an hour waiting on a sandwich?!? Never again!!

So went here about 3:30 Wednesday afternoon. Only a few diners and 4 at the bar. Service personnel lacking, waitstaff got our food order WRONG, and I’m talking hamburger and chicken wings and house salad. If you’re a wing lover like myself I enjoy the celery and carrot sticks, well the celery was black and slimy at the ends carrot sticks dryed out, husbands order was a Standard Burger totally different burger came, asked earlier for iced tea with lemon, got the tea no lemon asked again for it waitstaff forgot and then told me all the lemons were “squishy” would like lime instead and even those were questionable shape meaning brown on the outside. When I pointed out that the order was wrong and I had gross celery on my plate I asked the waitstaff if they would eat this she replied she would and said “I don’t like the way you are speaking to me “ instead of saying oh you’re right let me fix that for you she got an attitude. Hey I’ve been in the hospitality business my entire life from restaurant management to Hospital staff and that’s not the way to run a company. This interaction put us off, if they are willing to put on your plate anything questionable makes me wonder what other practices they employ in their kitchen and about the food they serve. The “manager’ came out and again very unprofessional I just threw in the towel and paid for our drinks and left, without eating a bite. The manager could have recouped this experience by at least comping our drinks but no… I love food and dining out but this place no go for us.

I am truly disappointed. My 1st visit, food was so so, service was just ok. We had the peppers and they were prepared totally different from the menu discription. Other food ok .
Not many Vegan or vegatarian options( come on it's 2022!!) We could have ate in Atlanta and had a much better experience.
