Fun fri belt place off the beaten path

We lucked out big time with a random lunchtime stop from Florida to North Carolina. This place has some great food. Pulled pork was great, sides (okra, mac n cheese, greens) were all amazing (okra might’ve been the best our table has ever had). The one thing that wasn’t good and I didn’t want to remove a star from, was their water. Tasted like dirt. Maybe offer bottled vs. tap. The location was also unique, as it sat in an industrial area and the restaurant itself was in an older building.

Do not let the area or outside of the building stop you from going here! This really is a hidden gem. Wife and I stopped in for a late lunch at 1:30 on a Thursday. There was no wait and plenty of seating available. She had the pork sandwich with fried okra as a side. I had the rib combo with the collard greens and Brunswick stew. All of the food was AMAZING!!!! The okra and greens were some of the best we have ever had. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and didn’t require any sauce. The pork sandwich was also good and the carolina mustard sauce was very good. They also have a nice selection of draft beers. We will definitely be eating here again when in the area!!!!

Two days after catering with the Inked Pig and we still can’t get enough of the leftovers, they are so good! The portions are perfect and I’m pretty sure they are taking into consideration the fact that everyone that is eating is going back for seconds. All of my guest ended up going back for seconds, the ribs, the bbq, and the chicken, there wasn’t a single item that wasn’t a portion on everyone’s plate.
