Today is Christmas. We always go to Waffle House on Christmas. We go, we eat, we tip amazingly because really who wants to work on Christmas. Today we chose this Waffle House because we live in Jones County. We go in there is 9 of us so we are waiting, chatting having a good time. They seat the 5 teenagers, everything is fine. Until the waitress looks at my 14 year old daughter and says “keep talking, and your nose will be more swollen than it already is”. My daughter hadn’t said anything to her, she was talking to one of her siblings and they were being snarky as teenagers are to one another. Problem with her comment though, my daughter had surgery on her nose this past Wednesday still has the bandages and all. While she is a beautiful girl, she is 14 and VERY self conscious about her nose. She got up from the table and went to the car in tears. It was horrible, the manager saw her run out crying and we explained what happened and he said “she probably didn’t meant it like that”. So they sent another waitress to our tables and the lady mumbled something and another kid said “excuse me” and she replied with “YOUR ORDER?” So we left. Went to the another Waffle House and had an amazing experience. I don’t know the waitress name, I don’t think she needs to be fired or anything like that, but I think it’s insane for an adult woman to say something so off putting to a CHILD. My daughter has cried all day. I felt like I needed to put this here in hopes that she will see it, in hopes that next time she sees a child or any person for that matter with a physical injury or defect that she will have a little sensitivity and not make “jokes”.

Our server was so slow. We were the ONLY TABLE in there. Once greeted she took our order, then forgot to ever bring our drinks until she brought 1 burger out. Then my 'Texas philly' came out with no onions (which I asked for and not even enough meat to cover one side of bread, my fathers order was also messed up and dry and nasty. We barely ate. It was dry and gross. She never came back a day checked on us. Just a disgusting experience. Paid $45 for NOTHING!! I will NEVER go back.

So I call to place order recording state that they have limited the to go order so to taking care of In house customers. I get there not one car there not one customer there but employees In back if building doin who knows what. One comes in didnt wash hand and never says anything to me for about 6 minutes as she is talking to her co worker that finally and in. Never again. Dirty store also. They talk alll over your food the whole time. I will never waste money here again.

It was good food and service for a to go order. EXCEPT, When I got home and looked to see why the cost for two plates was $31. I saw that they charged $5:20 for to go service and packaging. What? Who ever heard of such? Longhorns brings it to your car and doesn't charge for it. I've never been charged for a styrofoam plate.For $5, I should have driven to Cracker Barrel. Guess I'll stick to McDonald's and DQ from now on.

Every time I've been here, the place has been packed. No complaints, I usually don't have to wait long, the place is clean, the servers are friendly and they always get my order right.
