Gaby's was lovely. I had the lobster mac and cheese which was wonderful. The staff were amazing and very pleasant. We ate here a few times, and it was always nice. The atmosphere was fantastic.

The atmosphere was great. Food was not great - quinoa burger was sour; truffle fries were atrocious. We ordered dessert, and after 20 minutes they said dessert almost ready, but another 20 minutes later the waiter said that they do not have the dessert. The waiter was also not able to communicate well - he might have been in training without any support, so he seemed very unsure. For the price, this place underwhelms.

We unfortunately will not be coming back unless they change the menu. Their ‘new’ menu was disappointing, overpriced, and extremely limited. The actual food was mediocre at best. We look forward to this dinner as a part of our experience every year we come but not anymore.

Food was good (lobster grilled cheese & fries) but pacing very slow. Our group was in secluded outdoor room with no lake view. Flies were atrocious too. The little slow-turning fly-fans helped a bit.

Gaby’s is a great place to stop for a bite and a cocktail when on the lake. We’ve been many times. However this last visit wasn’t good.
While sitting at the bar, we watched as 4-5 spiders were dangling up and down their webs from the “clean” glasses that were hanging above the bar. One fell into a water pitcher (we told the bartender). This led us to look up even higher, to the peaked ceiling that has beams and 2 very large fans. The area was well lit. What we saw was extremely unappealing; many, many large spider webs and spiders/insects both dead and alive. This IS an outdoor bar at a lake. Insects are expected. However it obviously has not been cleaned for a very long time. It’s the Ritz Carlton! For the prices they charge at the resort, one would assume some attention to detail.
The bartenders were great, the food has been better. We won’t be rushing back. ?
Hugo is the best! We had a fantastic time at Gabe’s by the Lake! Excellent service and experience by Hugo and a great time!

Wow! The Ritz-Carlton on Lake Oconee maybe the best hidden gem in the south. If you’re looking for relaxation, golf and water sports this place is truly breathtaking. Gaby’s by the Lake is on the resort and the perfect complement to the relaxing atmosphere around. Situated right on the lake ,the drinks and food are excellent. My favorite spot is the table seating by the bar which is the perfect lunch or dinner spot after a day on the course!!
Excellent location and service . Resturant Manager Cat, has an exceptional approach to customer service.
