“So we were on a Lifestyle Visit in the area (coming from CA), staying at the Ritz Carlton and our real estate agent had highly recommended us to the Table at the Lake for dinner. As we parked, we quickly noticed how quaint the outdoor seating and lighting was....It was just so welcoming and beautiful! We entered into the restaurant which quickly felt like we were in Europe with the exquisite decor and hospitality. We met both of the owners, Jon and Jeff as we entered the restaurant and they both appreciated and were gracious that the local real estate agent had recommended us trying their new restaurant. They were super warm and friendly and accommodating even though we did not have reservations and they were quite busy. My husband and I were promptly seated in their outdoor patio with the incredible, cozy ambiance of beautifully decorated accents and decor. Our waiter, Johnny was beyond welcoming, attentive and very knowledgeable about all of the menu items. All of his recommendations were spot on and we literally ordered exactly what he recommended based on our desires. Johnny was amazing with his impeccable service and attention to detail. It was truly such an intimate experience with their Southern hospitality. Plus the owners both stopped by our table to check in and chat with us during our dinner. We absolutely loved the personal touch that we felt while dining at the Table at the Lake! When we visit Lake Oconee again and maybe purchase our next home, we will definitely dine again at this incredible gem of a restaurant! Such a treat in so many ways! We highly recommend this place!!”

“Wonderful customer service and the food is amazing! Kent & Jenny are the nicest people, so warm & friendly. Food comes out so fast too, so if you’re in a rush at lunchtime you can get in & out in 30 minutes. Convenient location & plenty of parking. Prices are very reasonable & they give you plenty. One of our favorites at the lake !!”

“Pedros Mexican Grill is ALWAYS busy and there are several reasons why. Let's start with the food 🥑, yum! And the staff is excellent, friendly and ccommodating. When in Greensboro or Eatonton, you have to give them a try. GREAT Mexican food! Best in the area.”

“We just went to Lamai Ban Thai and while it was great before it is MAGNIFICENT now. Everything we ate was so delicious and the ingredients fresh. They recently got new owners who obviously are passionate about great and authentic Thai food. We definitely wish them best of luck and look forward to going back very soon”

“what a great experience , from walking in the door we felt wecome, our waiter Freddy was great, he cared about taking care of us like we were family or like he was the owner that is a big deal to me, every employee should care like they have ownership! we go a Sicilian Pizza and it was just amazing, perfect pillowie crust with just the perfect crunch on the bottom. no doubt in my mind that we will be back soon!”

“Best wings I have had in the Greensboro area. I won't rate the sandwich because it was cold by the time I got home. (my fault, not theirs). Food was prepared and available on time. Service was prompt and friendly. Though I didn't try it here, they have Smithwick's Beer, the only place I have seen it available in this area. I will go back....soon.”

“Order ahead as they are brutally slow, but the food is really really good. We will definitely be back, but we placed and order and arrived over 30 mins later and still took 10 mins to complete when otherwise not very crowded. They need to add one more staff person.”

“Beautiful Views, Great Service, and a Relaxing Lakeside Experience

Gaby’s by the Lake is a wonderful spot to enjoy a meal while taking in the beautiful views of Lake Oconee. The atmosphere is relaxing, the scenery is absolutely gorgeous, and the service was amazing. The staff helped make the experience enjoyable, and the setting alone makes this restaurant worth visiting.

The only disappointment was my burger, which was overcooked and fell short of what I had hoped for. However, one dish not meeting expectations isn't enough to keep me from giving a restaurant another chance, especially when the service and overall atmosphere are so enjoyable.

I would definitely return and give Gaby’s another try! With a view like that and such great service, I would love the opportunity to have an even better dining experience on my next visit. 🌊🍔”

“Good food served fast. Holcomb's is a Christmas tradition at our house. We have Holcomb's barbecue and stew every Christmas Day. Also, their barbecue sauce is the best! We've been going to them for 50 years. They've never disappointed us. I just wish they had more locations.”

“They have the best General Tso’s chicken I have ever had. Their fried rice is excellent & so is the egg drop soup. My husband loves the Mongolian beef. The young man that runs the front is always very kind.”
