“Sweetie and I love Betty Gene’s for their tasty menu, great servers and cafe ambience. We’ve had lunch more than once and plan to do so often. Their location on the Madison Square is convenient for a rest during shopping errands. We highly recommend 😎”

“Nice clean restaurant. Busy in drive thru, indoors was about 35-40% filled with people eating too. Quick service, pleasant cashier and polite as well. Food was fresh, hot, all on point. Double line in drive thru was constant my whole meal inside. Great kids area here as well. Restroom was clean and no funky smells either.”

“I look forward to stopping here anytime I’m in the area! I wish I had a location near me! Great selection of local produce and prepared foods, plus unique items. I always get some of the vegetable soup, collards, and pimento cheese to take home. And the meals from the Chef’s Farm Table are out of this world!”

“Love this place! Best Mexican restaurant in Madison, in my opinion. Tequila's feels more authentic and the food is better than any other Mexican restaurants.”

“My grands are old enough to say what they want for lunch. One picked a popular chicken place with my husband. They took the longest and forgot the sauce. My grand son and I enjoyed the chicken strips and double cheeseburger. It was an affordable meal and freshly prepared. We were well pleased with service and cost!”

“We visited Oconee Coffee Roasters yesterday while in Madison, Ga., one of our most favorite day trips from Atlanta. This time though, we discovered the greatest authentic coffee shop right there in Madison. And my husband grew up on a coffee farm in Kenya, so he knows and recognizes great coffee ! We had the Oconee Blend in a cappuccino. The owner told us we would be pleased, and that was an understatement ! The Oconee Blend is truly outstanding. It has a pure, gentle, exciting taste, even better than our usual Illy Classico. We can’t wait to revisit these great people, who brew absolutely incredible coffee from part Ethiopian, part Colombian. beans. Thank you. Michael and Mary from Atlanta”

“The staff was friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service. They have delicious milkshakes and ice cream, and the child-friendly atmosphere made it a great place for families. Our family had a wonderful time, and we'll definitely be back!”
“Went there to pick up paper towels while on vacation. I just so happened to have an ingrown toenail so I asked the lady cashing me out if they advised anything. She asked the pharmacist who not only recommended local places I can go, but gave me a card telling me if I get there soon she will get it filled right away for me. What an awesome experience. Can’t say enough nice things about ALL the employees there. Will be back next vacation! Awesome, awesome, awesome!”

“Recently had a family reunion at Hard Labor State Park had Cracker Barrel Carter the event. Food was delivered in timely manner, food was excellent, didn't the first complaint, only problem turned out to be to many left overs because of no shows. Would highly recommend Cracker Barrel as the caterer for an upcoming event.”

“I’ve lived in GA for 40 years and this is my first time eating here and it’s THE BEST hamburger and chili dog I’ve ever eaten. I’ll probably get crucified for this but it’s way better than the Varsity to me. You have a customer for life. And for anyone that’s reading this, if you’ve never tried this place you’re missing out.”

“The Best Pizza in GA. We took a road trip to North Carolina recently and took the long way home in order to bypass ATL traffic. On our return trip, we made a detour in order to visit Madison, GA which may be one of the friendliest little towns in GA, or the USA for that matter. It's a beautiful little town full of old . It reminds me of Senoia, GA before it was ruined by ATL sprawl-big city ugliness... all paid for by big money, but that is a different story. We are talking about the best pizza in GA with allowance for best pizza being subjective... my and my wife's taste buds going back over quite a few years now. I first saw the town and sampled Amici's margherita pizza and salad quite a few years ago on a motorcycle ride with friends. It was a memorable lunch at Amici's. I have judged every new pizza restaurant and home-made margherita pizza against that pizza ever since then. The memory of that day still hold, the pizza was absolutely delicious and their new Caesar salad was great too! It is definitely worth a trip to Madison to see the beautiful little town's homes and shops and to sample the best pizza in GA. Give it a try sometime. It's an excellent day trip getaway. Nestled just an hour east of Atlanta, Madison is a Southern gem where oak-lined streets and antebellum architecture whisper stories of grace and grit. It’s a town that feels like a living postcard—walkable, welcoming, and rich with character. And right in the heart of it all is Amici. Before it became Madison’s living room in the beautifully restored livery stable on West Washington Street, Amici started a few blocks away in a humble storefront on South Main - most likely a dry goods store or something similar. That original, cozy little spot served up their legendary pizza, cold brews, and community vibes that made it a local favorite from day one. Today, Amici’s new home (old livery stable) blends rustic charm with modern comforts—exposed brick, live music, and the same signature pies that earned it the title of “best pizza in Georgia.” Whether you remember the old green awning or you’re soaking in the new patio scene, Amici is still serving what Madison does best: good food, good people, and a whole lot of heart. And on our walk to the new place after parking near downtown, every single person we met was smiling, saying hi and just being the most welcoming folks you could ever meet. Sort of like a GA Mayberry, USA. While researching the place on the internet, I found they have 12 locations in total. I am told each spot carries the same spirit: New York-style pizza, wings, pasta, cold beer, and live music, all served with a side of Southern hospitality. Some locations even have event rooms or patios for live performances and community gatherings.”

“My partner and I have been going here ever since we were babies (strangers). Now that we are together we go every chance we get when we are passing by Madison. We have yet to find Chinese food in any state or any city that we would rather eat over Happy China <3 Home Style Bean Curd, Garlic Eggplant, and Sizzling Rice Soup are the highlights for us. See you at Happy China<3”

“Every single bite is astounding — a great bar. I’ve never tried steak tartare before, but this looked like the place to try it. Sprinkled with a variety of herbs, topped by a quail egg 🤌
The executive chef changes the menu every week — within the area of Madison, Monroe, and Covington, it’s rare for a menu to change in 6 months.
This is the finest, high-end dining experience I’ve ever had.”
