Every single bite is astounding — a great bar. I’ve never tried steak tartare before, but this looked like the place to try it. Sprinkled with a variety of herbs, topped by a quail egg 🤌
The executive chef changes the menu every week — within the area of Madison, Monroe, and Covington, it’s rare for a menu to change in 6 months.
This is the finest, high-end dining experience I’ve ever had.
A hidden gem in a small town. If you are close by, come and have the best drink and food of your life. Not sure if this is Michelin star but should be.
For a wonderful, upscale dining experience, The Dining Room is not to be missed. My husband and I went for an evening out and chose the 5 course dinner with the suggested wine course accompaniment. It was phenomenal.
Each plate was expertly prepared and explained tableside along with the wine as to where it was from, expected notes and why it pairs well with the dish. Talk about spot on. A lot of thought went into the dishes and pairings.

The Dining Room offers a delightful fine dining experience outside of Atlanta, in the historic downtown of Madison. This small, beautiful space accommodates fewer than 40 guests, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The attentive, knowledgeable, and personable staff set the stage for a fabulous dining experience. The prix-fixe menu features beautifully presented and delicious dishes, including tea-smoked duck breast and shrimp toast, with a good variety of choices that maintain a consistent culinary style. The wine pairing is reasonably priced, and the remarkable wine list includes options for every palate. Dishes such as short ribs appetizer, roasted halibut, and duck breast are superbly prepared, showcasing the chef’s attention to detail and passion. The decor, music, and lighting enhance the special feel of the restaurant, making each visit truly memorable. Guests have enjoyed the relaxed pace, allowing for a dining experience of about 2 to 3 hours, and often leave with full hearts and stomachs, eager to return and explore more of the chef’s creations. The chocolate hazelnut pastry and other desserts are highlights that shouldn’t be missed, ensuring that The Dining Room is a must-visit for any special event in the Lake Oconee area.
