“I have a problem trying to decide which is better, the sayings on the big screen, the staff, or the food. They are all fantastic. Really great peach cobbler to boot.😁”

“We visited Oconee Coffee Roasters yesterday while in Madison, Ga., one of our most favorite day trips from Atlanta. This time though, we discovered the greatest authentic coffee shop right there in Madison. And my husband grew up on a coffee farm in Kenya, so he knows and recognizes great coffee ! We had the Oconee Blend in a cappuccino. The owner told us we would be pleased, and that was an understatement ! The Oconee Blend is truly outstanding. It has a pure, gentle, exciting taste, even better than our usual Illy Classico. We can’t wait to revisit these great people, who brew absolutely incredible coffee from part Ethiopian, part Colombian. beans. Thank you. Michael and Mary from Atlanta”

“Nice clean restaurant. Busy in drive thru, indoors was about 35-40% filled with people eating too. Quick service, pleasant cashier and polite as well. Food was fresh, hot, all on point. Double line in drive thru was constant my whole meal inside. Great kids area here as well. Restroom was clean and no funky smells either.”

“We stopped by recently on a Saturday before the library for a coffee and a snack. My little ones LOVED the little kitchen/play area. The barista was so sweet and patient with the kids while they made their selections. She even let them sample a little cup of popping bubbles for their bubble tea. My husband and I got to sit and chat over a cup of coffee while the kids entertained themselves with the play kitchen and toys. We will definitely stop by again soon.”

“I recently moved to Newborn, Ga. My husband and I had worked outside for several hours and I wasn’t cooking. I had also been craving BBQ for a few weeks, you know how that goes. So we have such a big choice of restaurants in Newborn it was gonna be Lucy’s again for Wings or Que on 142 across the street from Lucy’s. So I said to myself, well self you have been wanting Bbq so Que’s it is. Well folks all I got to say is Dang Skippy I found me a some good or I should say great BBQ. That was the best pulled pork without sauce I have ever eaten in my life. (Zack in the drive through told me to promise to try the meat before putting sauce on it) The sauce was good on the BBQ but you really didn’t need it. Also the Brisket was amazing, my hubs always eats Brisket over pulled pork. We had the baked potato salad, stew and slaw. I am… (what’s the new word kids use now) SHOOK! Not sure how they came up with that. It’s weird saying it! 🤭 I will say that little blue house on the right on 142 in Newborn is not very noticeable, but I will say their BBQ, BRISKET, slaw, stew, baked potato potato salad and banana pudding is the bomb! So if you are driving down Hwy 142 through Newborn you gotta try Que on 142 BBQ. You will not regret it. Thanks Zack I will be back!”

“The Best Pizza in GA. We took a road trip to North Carolina recently and took the long way home in order to bypass ATL traffic. On our return trip, we made a detour in order to visit Madison, GA which may be one of the friendliest little towns in GA, or the USA for that matter. It's a beautiful little town full of old . It reminds me of Senoia, GA before it was ruined by ATL sprawl-big city ugliness... all paid for by big money, but that is a different story. We are talking about the best pizza in GA with allowance for best pizza being subjective... my and my wife's taste buds going back over quite a few years now. I first saw the town and sampled Amici's margherita pizza and salad quite a few years ago on a motorcycle ride with friends. It was a memorable lunch at Amici's. I have judged every new pizza restaurant and home-made margherita pizza against that pizza ever since then. The memory of that day still hold, the pizza was absolutely delicious and their new Caesar salad was great too! It is definitely worth a trip to Madison to see the beautiful little town's homes and shops and to sample the best pizza in GA. Give it a try sometime. It's an excellent day trip getaway. Nestled just an hour east of Atlanta, Madison is a Southern gem where oak-lined streets and antebellum architecture whisper stories of grace and grit. It’s a town that feels like a living postcard—walkable, welcoming, and rich with character. And right in the heart of it all is Amici. Before it became Madison’s living room in the beautifully restored livery stable on West Washington Street, Amici started a few blocks away in a humble storefront on South Main - most likely a dry goods store or something similar. That original, cozy little spot served up their legendary pizza, cold brews, and community vibes that made it a local favorite from day one. Today, Amici’s new home (old livery stable) blends rustic charm with modern comforts—exposed brick, live music, and the same signature pies that earned it the title of “best pizza in Georgia.” Whether you remember the old green awning or you’re soaking in the new patio scene, Amici is still serving what Madison does best: good food, good people, and a whole lot of heart. And on our walk to the new place after parking near downtown, every single person we met was smiling, saying hi and just being the most welcoming folks you could ever meet. Sort of like a GA Mayberry, USA. While researching the place on the internet, I found they have 12 locations in total. I am told each spot carries the same spirit: New York-style pizza, wings, pasta, cold beer, and live music, all served with a side of Southern hospitality. Some locations even have event rooms or patios for live performances and community gatherings.”
“I’ve lived in GA for 40 years and this is my first time eating here and it’s THE BEST hamburger and chili dog I’ve ever eaten. I’ll probably get crucified for this but it’s way better than the Varsity to me. You have a customer for life. And for anyone that’s reading this, if you’ve never tried this place you’re missing out.”

“Our dinner was excellent! Crab Rangoon was full of crab and cream cheese and tasted great. The Win Ton soup was loaded with win tons and very flavor able. We ordered the Mongolian Beef and between the two of us, couldn't finish all of it. The portions are always generous and the flavor is always wonderful. One of our favorite restaurants!”

“My partner and I have been going here ever since we were babies (strangers). Now that we are together we go every chance we get when we are passing by Madison. We have yet to find Chinese food in any state or any city that we would rather eat over Happy China <3 Home Style Bean Curd, Garlic Eggplant, and Sizzling Rice Soup are the highlights for us. See you at Happy China<3”
