Angelos Mediterranean Restaurant

We arrived in town yesterday, we saw the Greek & Italian sign and decided that's exactly what we wanted. The meatball side order was delicious. The Gyro not so much. We asked if it was lamb grilled chunks or on the spit (don't like the spit meat) it was the spit sliced meat. The pasta salad was tasteless. The people were super nice, the atmosphere was very nice. In defense they were closing for a month, so we couldn't try it again.

The food was alright, but seemed a little pricy for the quality. Some parts of the gyro plate tasted pretty good, but it all seemed like it was reheated in a microwave. The gyro meat itself was pretty bland and had a mushy texture, but everything else seemed well seasoned at least.

Had the pleasure of trying out Angelos this afternoon on lunch break from jury duty. It's a cozy establishment, with some nice decoration that gives the place it's own homey charm. I was approached by the owner/chef during my visit who thanked me for my business and spoke with me for a moment about the homeade marinara(which I loved!). It was a pleasant experience to say the very least and the food was hot and delicious. Everything tasted genuine and fresh. I will definitely be back and next time I am bringing friends!

Hidden gem! ? One of the best restaurants in griffin! The salads are huge and so fresh. I get the Greek salad and it comes with pita bread all the way around it! I absolutely love the food here. Pasta is wonderful too. Would highly recommend. It’s not very big inside but I order to go, a lot as well. Mr. Angelo is the sweetest and best cook around, for authentic Italian/greek food!

Not a great experience. The service was really good but the food was not. White lettuce, not good quality and calzones were not good. Running and really tough dough and not full of ingredients.

Finally tried this place. This is by far the best restaurant in griffin. Chef really works hard to bring you authentic Greek and Italian cuisine. You can tell he cares and is very passionate about what he puts in front of you. Anthony Bourdain would give this place five stars. Gem of a restaurant
