I ordered the bacon cheese burger with blue cheese and fries, the meal was very good, the service was excellent.
The staff very attentive, returning often to check if we needed refills or if everything was ok, but not so often as to be bothersome. The service was the best I have experienced.
The atmosphere was great!

This restaurant offers many Gluten Free options. Service is always great! Nice to support a locally owned business versus chain.

Our group leader, Ray McBerry - Regional Owner of Tradebank of Atlanta South chose this location and we loved it!!
From Appetizers to main courses, everything was amazing! The space and place was clean, warm and inviting. And our service from Charley was 5-star!

We don't go to J Henry's much. But every time we have been we have experienced nothing but good food and excellent service. I ordered the chicken bruschetta my wife had a fried chicken salad. Everything tasted very fresh. Are waitress was on top of everything she kept her drinks full and brought us what we asked for promptly.

I want to begin by saying that I have always enjoyed the food at J. Henry’s. The meals are consistently good, and I’ve never had an issue with the staff or service. For years, this has been one of my go-to spots in Griffin.
That said, my recent interaction with the owner has completely changed my perspective. I reached out with the intention of offering something positive: a complimentary restaurant feature on my TikTok channel, which has over 300,000 followers. For context, I’ve already showcased around 30 restaurants in this region. The results have spoken for themselves—restaurants reporting doubled profits for weeks after their video release, lines out the door, and in some cases, running out of food due to the overwhelming response. Several owners have even asked me to visit their other locations, including those out of state, because of the remarkable impact.
Out of respect, I called J. Henry’s owner first, simply to ask permission before walking in with a camera. I wasn’t asking for a free meal or special treatment—I intended to pay for my food. I just wanted to give the restaurant a positive spotlight.
Instead of any appreciation, I was met with arrogance. The owner interrupted before I could even finish explaining, telling me he didn’t need the advertising, didn’t need me, and boasting about being in business for over 20 years. The tone was pompous, dismissive, and downright rude.
Hospitality is more than the food on the table—it’s about attitude, respect, and how people are treated. After seeing his response, it now makes sense why J. Henry’s holds a 4.4 rating on Google rather than higher. That type of arrogance at the top always trickles down, shaping the culture, the staff, and the guest experience.
The sad truth is that opportunities don’t come along every day. When someone reaches out to bless your business without asking for anything in return, the wise response is gratitude, not condescension. Owners who think they no longer need help often discover the opposite to be true.
I am deeply disappointed. J. Henry’s was once a restaurant I recommended to friends, family, and visitors without hesitation. After this experience, I have no intention of recommending it to anyone in the future, nor do I plan to return myself. The food may be good, but the arrogance at the top overshadows it completely.

Great quiet atmosphere. The food was good. Wait staff and hostess was very respectful and kind.
This is usually a great spot, but not my last visit. The server was not attentive at all, which eventually affected my entire experience that day.

The food was horrible my husband and I ordered our food to go, we ordered the ribs they were so over cooked that it wasn’t any meat on the bones left to eat, the squash casserole and the chicken Alfredo pasta was so hard and tasted like day old food we couldn’t eat any of it
For the food to be like this the cooks had to know the food wasn’t right before serving
bad experience would not eat their again
