I think I’ve found where all the good chefs in Georgia went — Murphy’s Restaurant in Griffin, GA! This place is an absolute gem for breakfast and lunch (they close at 2 p.m.), and it captures everything you could want in a small-town dining experience.
If Anthony Bourdain were still with us, he would love it here — the food, the people, the atmosphere, and the pure authenticity. There’s a warm, old-fashioned, neighborly feel that makes you feel like you’ve been coming for years, even on your first visit. The staff are genuinely kind, attentive, and they make you feel like family.
We go so often now that we don’t even need a menu! Everything they serve is made with care and flavor. If you’ve never had a Torta, you’re missing an important part of life. Their tacos are heavenly, and the pancakes — I’m convinced — are the fluffiest on earth. Honestly, I’d have to list the entire menu to do them justice.
Murphy’s is the kind of place that reminds you why local restaurants matter.

I went in about a month ago as a doordash driver and I told the staff I would return.. the steak omelet and grits were fabulous and we are already planning for a next trip.. worth giving a chance to try and dine in or takeout for breakfast and lunch
Kid-friendliness: Great employees that cook some delicious smelling breakfast you can see as soon as you walk through the door.. constantly making sure your experience is great, and surely me and my brother had a wonderful meal at a great price

Where do I start everything was delicious the coffee was strong the sweet tea was on point all the fruit and vegetables was fresh everyone was so polite is was some of the best breakfast I have had I a while

Don't let the humble exterior fool you. Everything about my first visit to Murphy's was great, but the food was hands-down the best breakfast I have ever eaten. I had no idea huevos rancheros could make me so happy! Can't wait to come back!
