3 stars because although I love this place, they never update their google hours for when they’re closed. I’ve gone a few times to find they were closed that day. Single days I guess I get, but today (10/16) I went and there was a sign saying they were closed this week for fall break. I feel like they should update google hours to reflect an entire week at least. A girlfriend and I got up, got ready, packed up some kids and were looking forward to getting a coffee here and then walking around, only to unload and walk over to find it closed. It took me a while, but I found their Facebook page and that’s where they listed in a single post I had to scroll down some to find that they were closed this week (after I got home). I get it’s the new things for businesses to do, but when I’m about to drive somewhere, I don’t have time to first find the correct Facebook page, then scroll, then look it up on google maps. Another woman walked up to their doors as we were leaving to also find it closed as well. Again, love this place, but wish they would keep their hours consistently updated. I would probably come here more if they did!

Really cool coffee shop with an old south feel. Had some swanky flavors. Tried the missoula tea and a vanilla latte, was great. Comfy seating and a cool downtown location. The cashier was super cool and animated. Good vibes for sure in Griffin

Rude, snarky staff. Do not pop by with your kids for a drink. They'll treat you as less than and make the drinks you ordered for here to go. We weren't asked to leave but might as well been. This seems to be a shared experience by others. Coffee wasn't great, and I wouldn't return for that reason alone.
terribly rude staff

Got kicked out bc my TWO year old was too noisy and “the noise is filling up the entire space”. Coffee isn’t great quality anyway. Will NOT return. 🙄🙄🙄

The best coffee house in Griffin. The espresso and coffees are hand crafted with quality ingredients. Baristas know their craft. The atmosphere is relaxed with a bit of funk. It’s on a main street in old downtown, so parking can be tight.

Hands down the best coffee myself and my family have ever had. The notes in their espresso is so delicious and it’s SO smooth. My husband isn’t a coffee drinker but SafeHouse is the exception for him. An iced vanilla latte is my go to order. We bought their coffee beans for my mother in law for her espresso machine and no other coffee beans compare. Can’t recommend enough!

The coffee is the best I have had for miles and miles around! You can really taste the commitment to quality and flavor. We moved here from Washington state and this is the closest cup to what I’m used to in Seattle and surrounding areas. I appreciate the dedication to sustainability by offering reusable cups when eating in.

If you're in downtown Griffin, Georgia, you absolutely cannot miss Safehouse Coffee Roasters! This delightful coffee shop is a true gem, offering not only a cozy and eclectic atmosphere but also some of the best coffee I've ever had. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a calming vibe thath invites you to relax and enjoy your time there.
The coffee itself is exceptional—each cup is crafted with care from ethically sourced beans, which makes every sip feel rewarding. Whether you’re a fan of classic brews or adventurous specialty drinks, Safehouse has something to satisfy your palate.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. They are incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to offer recommendations or just chat about your day. It's clear that they genuinely care about their customers and the quality of their coffee.
If you're looking for a peaceful spot to unwind or catch up with friends, Safehouse Coffee Roasters is the perfect choice. I can't recommend it highly enough!
