I have been here a few times and I've always loved it but this one incident has me so so mad I'll never go back not for myself or for my family (also their food isn't as good as it used to be)I took my oldest child son with me one morning and we get there and this dude who looks like the brunette version of Patrick renna is so rude and running the counter I figure he's having a bad morning and proced with the order I ordered 1 order of grits they were TERRIBLE the biscuit which I can't believe I'm saying this was gross the gravy was the only thing out of this that was half way decent and he got our order wrong but that's not the kicker not only did people who come after us and ordered leave before of we did we also ordered a drink while we waited I paid over three dollars for a disgusting tea I took one sip out of it the dude watched me I said very nicely sir this tea is bad can I please swap it for something else he said uuuuuuuuuu did you drink out of you watched me take a singular sip that I spat out of a starfoam cup yeah I sipped out of it so I spent extremely high prices for a breakfast that wound up being gross overpriced and in the trash cause just mine my sons as well oh and don't forget the 3 dollar 1 sip of tea so yeah won't be going back here unless sent by someone else for their food which i will do my best to send else where....

This used to be good place to eat. I went in for breakfast Thursday morning. Waitress was friendly. Polite. But my coffee was really weak. My grits were cold and watery as well as the gravy. I have to say the bacon was cooked perfect and the biscuits were good. Not worth the money. Good luck to y’all .

I've been going here since I was a little girl. I moved away, but every time I come back to Griffin, the Biscuit Shack (or Southern Shack as it's now known), is a must visit. Seriously the best biscuits I've had.

I’m sorry but this was an absolutely never eating here again. The French toast was too burnt, the biscuit could of been ok but just too greasy. I didn't even finish it. I saw other reviews were the lady in the front was nice. I may have walked in on her day off because I met a guy who took my order and he was just as gross as the food. He was not welcoming or helpful. When my food was ready. I got up to get it and he immediately turned his back to me. I even waited when I said Thank you and have a great day. He simply replied with an “uh huh”. I don't know who pissed in his coffee or maybe he just didn't want to serve a Chocolate Empress. Anyway, his customer service sucked. I would say I go back if there food was good but its not worth it.

Delicious! This was my second time stopping by for takeout. I travel for work and stumbled upon it randomly on Yelp. I had the whole fried catfish both times, which comes with fresh fries, hush puppies, and slaw. I could eat like 10 of those hush puppies, they’re awesome. The catfish was perfectly crispy and seasoned nicely. I tried the fried okra this time as well, and it was excellent. The service is very good and the orders were 100% correct both times. I will be back for sure, going to try the fried green tomatoes next time!

I have been eating here since 1990 when it was the Biscuit Shack. I am not sure when new ownership took over, but just started getting breakfast here again. I get the same thing every time and it has never been the same price twice. Today my order was wrong and when i called about it all i got was attitude from the woman who is never that kind to begin with. I will now find another place to spend my money and would recommend you do the same. 64 years old and the first time writing a review about anything.
