Excellent wines and atmosphere.
What a wonderful stop this was on our road trip from Michigan to Ft Lauderdale!
The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The wines were all delicious.... Especially enjoyed the Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Malbec and Brass Duck Red🥂
We enjoyed the entire experience! Looking forward to a trip back in the future 🍷
The experience was very relaxing, and the wine was very enjoyable.
The ladies there are super nice and helpful at selecting a wine. I am going back soon.
Fantastic employees. Very nice wines.
Husband took me as a surprise date & I have to say I was not disappointed. I did the flight of 8 & he did the 5. Every one of them were delicious but my favorite was the blackberry. The salami/cheese tray was perfect as a snack to go along with the tasting. The ladies in the lobby are so nice & knowledgeable. Even though it’s cold outside, their heaters definitely kept us warm. They have trivia & other games to play during your visit. Nothing bad I can say about this experience. Highly recommend for a day date & I am excited to be going to future events they have coming up.
One of my absolute favorite small town wineries! Ms. Barbara and staff treat you like family and the wines are wonderful!
My husband and I are HUGE fans! Every time we're in the area we have to stop by. By far, our favorite wine of all time! 10/10!
Small, quaint, and a lot of fun. Beautiful property. Very nice afternoon out, sampling different wines. Everything you sampling, can be bought and taken with you. Great peach wines.
My husband and I had a wonderful time here! Pam and Barbara were so welcoming and shared a lot of history of the winery’s start up and continuing success. It was great fun trying different wines as my husband tried five and I tried five so we got a sampling of ten wines. We settled for a blush and enjoyed a wonderful outside experience nestled among pine trees. They offer a variety of games, so it was fun partaking of Yahtzee while we sipped and enjoyed a cheese and salami platter. The atmosphere is laid back and you’re invited to bring your own food if you desire. A great couple hours and we purchased a couple wines to enjoy back in Ohio! A little gem for sure during our vacation in Sea Pines in Hilton Head.

Despite earlier reviews, dogs are welcome at Butterducks. Aside from documented service animals who are welcome inside, dogs need to remain outside and on a leash, just like everywhere else. The wine was great, and the atmosphere was pleasant.
Such a nice hidden gem!
What a wonderful variety of wines in this relaxing location! The gift shop offers bottles and cases to go as well as merchandise.
What a great day! My first time visiting Butterducks Winery, and it was so charming! So beautiful to sit outside in the garden and enjoy some delicious local wine. The owner took time to come over and speak to us and share the journey she and her husband took to create this local treasure. Stop by and have a wine flight and taste their delicious wine made with love. While you are there you will want to take time to browse in their gift shop for the most adorable gifts.
I visited Butterducks on Sunday, April 7, I was immediately stopped at the entrance by an employee. I was asked if my dog I was carrying in my arms was a service dog.I informed the employee that I’m a combat vet, but he technically was not. The employee informed me he could not come in. She asked if I had anyone with me that could watch him and when I said no, she did offer to hold him outside. I told her “no, I will leave“ and did so as quickly as possible. All of this would be fine if I were not in fact a combat war vet. I suffer from combat PTSD, anxiety, and depression and carrying around my dog helps with managing my anxiety, and PTSD symptoms. I’m in the process of training my dog to be my service animal and the employee touched my dog without asking. The employee immediately approaching me at the door and continuously touching my dog while talking, made me very anxious and I wanted to remove myself immediately.I wanted to inform Butterducks of my experience, because that small interaction truly altered my day and week in a negative way.I then checked online for the winery’s pet policy, only to find many pictures on social media of Butterducks having many dogs visit both outside and inside where my dog was not allowed.I contacted Butterducks via email and did not receive a response.
