“Southern Kafe on 17OMG………….. !!!!! The food was so delicious!!! Was visiting in a town nearby (about 20 mins drive) and had a taste for some Soul Food. When I tell you this joint hit the spot ———— I Ain’t Lying! lol Because I lived about 30 minutes drive away, I ordered two plates (was able to make 3+ meals from them). I ordered oxtails over rice, collard greens, mac n cheese on one plate and baked chicken, creamed corn, and collard greens on the other. The plates also came with corn bread. For dessert, I ordered some peach cobbler! Going to try & make it a thing and take that 30 minutes drive one weekend out of the month to indulge in this treasure of a place. Well worth it!Vegetarian options: A variety of veggies to choose from!”

“As always, this place is awesome! My wife has always ordered online, I did for the first time, and then my GPS sent me somewhere else, so I verified with my family that I had the name right. It's in like downtown Guyton across from IGA and between the traffic circle and Southern Cafe.My kids LOVE the kids meals here! You get a personal pizza(or burger), potato wedges, and a yummy cookie... and if you ask my kids the best part.... the rubber duckies ? the meals come with.Everyone working was very nice. We will keep coming back, that's for sure!!!Kid-friendliness: Kids meals are less than 7 bucks plus you get 3 for items and a rubber duck.”

“We were traveling from Florida back up to the Jersey Shore in our RV. Brass Rail is just a short hop off of 95. Very welcoming establishment. The locals invited you into their conversations. We had wings and fries with our libations. Food was very good the burgers looked amazing. Bartender Olivia was taking care of everyone. Thanks for the hospitality overnight.”

“Of all the Mexican restaurants in Effingham County, this is by far THE BEST! We've tried them all and this is our favorite. The staff is always friendly. The food is always fresh and full of flavor. “I went there for breakfast for the first time ever and was happy that I did. They have the best tasting grits that I have ever had ,the food was delicious, I highly recommend checking them out, and also, they have a dessert section that is mind-blowing. You won't be disappointed visiting this establishment, I love the way they got it decorated. The owner came over several times just to make sure that we were good. She was very friendly and outgoing, and it felt genuine, I love the vibes that this restaurant is giving off.”

We arrived the morning of the party and found they had decorated it beautifully and added personal details down to the 2023 napkins they ordered. Two guy behind counter 30 mins before close and in comes my family of 5. Asked if it's was cool as its a small place. No problem at all. Definitely a hole in the wall. My husband wanted the sausage and peppers and pointed to the picture near the cash register and the lady said just wanted to let you know that our sausage is cut not in links, but he got it anyway and wishes he would have got something else. I always get the Philly steak and cheese with mushrooms. No onions which always taste good when we go to a Larry's sub restaurant. But this one put too much mayonnaise on my sandwich. It was falling out of it so I couldn't eat it without wiping all of the mayonnaise off which made it taste not as good as others I have had. It could have been just a bad day for the food makers.The customer service was great and the restaurant was interesting and clean. “I order 2 foot long subs at a very busy time on a Sunday, both of my sandwich were made incorrectly. I went into the store on Monday to speak with a manager about the issue. I spoke with Diane who apologized for the mistake and explained to me that there were only 2 people working and one was new. She corrected the mistake and was a pleasure to deal with!
