Road tripping, as we are, requires stopping at a place and eating when it looks like it might be great. In this case it WAS SO GREAT. Had ribs, mac-n-cheese and and collards for one order and fried chicken, dirty rice (I hope that's what they call it in Ga.) and creamed corn for the other order. I had one bite of the perfect-smoked-pink rib and made embarrassing happy noises. Mac-n-cheese was very "family recipe" and SO good. Collards tender, fried chicken moist and outstanding and creamed corn sweet and creamy. We've been eating "traditional southern food" for about a week now and I actually wanted to stay until four p.m. when the next selections became available. Oxtail on Sundays. Makes me wish we'd driven by on a Sunday. Great food, great folks, loved it.

Southern Kafe on 17OMG………….. !!!!! The food was so delicious!!! Was visiting in a town nearby (about 20 mins drive) and had a taste for some Soul Food. When I tell you this joint hit the spot ———— I Ain’t Lying! lol Because I lived about 30 minutes drive away, I ordered two plates (was able to make 3+ meals from them). I ordered oxtails over rice, collard greens, mac n cheese on one plate and baked chicken, creamed corn, and collard greens on the other. The plates also came with corn bread. For dessert, I ordered some peach cobbler! Going to try & make it a thing and take that 30 minutes drive one weekend out of the month to indulge in this treasure of a place. Well worth it!Vegetarian options: A variety of veggies to choose from!

Ordered the broil and the taste was amazing! Also tasted the crab cake and hush puppies and Mac & cheese. Everything was great! Would recommend! The place smelled great since they had a candle on and the bathrooms were really clean! 10/10

I’ve been there over 100 times, never did the seafood but the chicken, meatloaf, hamburger steak,pull pork and ribs are all good along with sides and I love their peach cobbler. Always enough for leftovers nuff
