I'm not typically a salsa person, but I LOVE spicy foods, so I was absolutely DEVOURING their salsa. + The queso came out hot & fresh! + We ended up requesting another basket of chips for those dips :)
I ordered a grilled chicken quesadilla, and it was also fantastic.

Not the best place for Mexican food. Food was bland, service poor. Did not have some things on the menu. Will not be going back.

Went there 13 years ago to give it a shot and food was mid at best. Decided to give it a shot again yesterday and it was just bad. Fajitas had no char or flavor, guacamole was old, salsa had weird taste. Definitely won’t be going back. Only Hahira restaurant that is just not good.

Waited an hour for food, which was mediocre at best. Also charged $2 for a dollop of sour cream. Will not be back.

Other than the service the Carrisal has gone downhill. The food is less than desirable now where it was once fresh. When food comes out for a family of 4 in 5 minutes from ordering something is amiss. I understand rice and beans being made in a big pot. However fajitas and enchiladas meals you think would take longer to cook, that is if its fresh. These seemed to taste rubbery as if it was reheated in a microwave. Then there is the price!! You look at menu and say well for what we ordered the price isn't the worst. No!!! Its a switch and bait. You will see a price in the menu for a meal but it DOESNT actually include the meat you choose. For instance ordering chicken enchiladas in the menu it says $10 but once the bill comes they add $2 for the meat...and our fajitas it added even more. They menu doesn't tell you they will upcharge you and the server didnt mention it either. This is a bad business for poorly microwaved food. I'd definitely stay away!!!

We eat here- or order to go- 3 to 4 times a month. Salsa is fantastic, food is always good, and the staff is genuinely kind.
