We're from Adel but thought we'd check the El Carrisal out in Hahira. The food we had at dine in was amazing - it was really good, had wonderful flavours. My partner thought the salsa was spicy, but having lived on the border of Mexico for almost two decades, I thought it was just really good. Why then the 4 stars and why the 3 stars for food? Well.. why make the chile beef so spicy it can't even be eaten? It was a to-go order for my two boys (my KIDS) and it was so hot it couldn't even be eaten. Now I love spicy food, so do my boys. They've been eating spicy food since they could eat solid food. I use to go into Acuna all of the time and I cook spicy Hispanic food at home (my kids are biracial - hispanic), but this was so spicy i couldn't do more than stick my tongue on it when my oldest asked me to try it - so i could see for myself. Honestly? I'd love to have seen the chef of the chile beef (from the #25 Mexican Plate) eat it him/herself, with my kids present. Please don't make food so spicy that you'd not even eat it. I'd love to come back, but not if I'm (or my kids are) going to be served food so hot not even the chef (or anyone else there) would eat it, I guarantee. Have a good night.

Y’all this is the BEST place to eat! Prices are great, food is so good, folks are so nice, restaurant is clean, and just over all great. I want to keep it a secret but I also want this great place to grow! If you ever want a perfect dinner that’s not expensive, you’ve found it! If I could I’d give them more than 5 stars. Just great! I would like a wider variety of salsa for chips, but that’s my only suggestion. But it’s my pleasure to suggest this great restaurant.

This has great menu options and have not had a bad experience yet. I am concerned about the health inspection score being a B if that doesn't change then I won't be going back.

Honestly this has to be the worst Mexican take out food I’ve ever had, didn’t even receive half of my order, what I did get was some disgusting lukewarm slop thrown together in a platter…kinda surprised at the audacity of this place to charge what they did for this considering all the other great options for Mexican food in Lowndes county!!
