The food was wonderful, and we all enjoyed it very much. The food is not the only thing about a restaurant, and some value service combined with great food.
Server Laura appeared to want to flirt at the bar instead of take care of her tables. I had to flag down another server to be provided with service. I witnessed another table having to do the same thing that Laura was serving as well.
Laura could be found at the bar laughing and gossiping with the bar customers that were already being served by the bar tender. While Laura appeared to provide excellent customer service to the bar customers, she neglected her tables.
Again, it is not the food. The food was great. For the poor service is the reason I will not be returning. Best of luck to this Pub and Steak House.

I visited Hunter's Pub and Steakhouse on the recommendation of a local resident in Columbus, Georgia. It was early evening on a weekday, and there was a wait so I went in and waited, but it took a long time for the food to come out. I think I waited over 1 hour and 30 minutes to taste the food. But after tasting the food, the waiting time felt insignificant. On this day, I ate New York strips, grilled shrimp, and fried jalapenos with cheese. Every single dish was really delicious and I loved it. Even the side dishes were flawless and delicious. Even though I was full, I was curious about the taste of dessert, so I ate the peanut butter pie, which was also really delicious. By far the best food I had during my trip to Columbus, Georgia and Atlanta! I may not have the opportunity to visit again, but if I do travel again, I will definitely stop by Hunters. Highly recommended!!!

Don’t let the atmosphere fool you. If your style is a honky tonk and Waylon Jennings, but you also enjoy the best steak you’ve ever eaten… this is your spot. For $36 the 16oz ribeye was far and away the best steak I’ve ordered at a restaurant, and I’m shamed to say, I’ve paid more for a smaller steak. The green beans are flavorful and of good texture, and the cheese grits are worth the try. The atmosphere feels at home, and it seems that everyone knows everyone else there. The peanut butter pie was quality, and worth the stomach ache from eating so much. I would not hesitate to drive out of the way just to eat here. Good folks, great service, and food that is made with attention and care. Please support this local gem.

Escaped to Georgia due to hurricane Milton, let a friend a know we are in town looking for a nice meal and he recommended Hunter's Pub and Steakhouse. I had the best New York strip tender and cooked to perfection (medium). Our waitress was great and the atmosphere was welcoming. If I am ever back in town this place will for sure be on our list to visit again.
The food and service were top notch! Had a ribeye, salad, loaded potato, and a slice of pie, and all were excellent. I highly recommend this place for the food, and the servers were very attentive and friendly and answered all my questions.
I do have to ding one star, because it was extremely crowded and loud. Parking was also very awkward.
But don’t let that scare you away. Despite the noise, which I don’t like, I would still come back, because the food was so great. Maybe I can find a time that they’re less busy.
This place is one in a million! Definitely excited our expectations!
