Bay Breeze Seafood Restaurant

I was very disappointed with my recent order from Bay Breeze. I ordered the Sunday Special chicken breast and shrimp, which I’ve had before and always enjoyed. This time, the quality and portions were completely different. Instead of a full chicken breast, they cut it in half, and the shrimp portion was very small. On top of that, the shrimp was overcooked and hard. The manager told me, “Oh, we’re cutting the breast because it’s a combo.” But it has always been a combo, and it has never been served this way before.

If you’re going to change portion sizes, that should be listed on the menu so customers know what they’re paying for. Honestly, the only thing I enjoyed from my plate was the okra. I will not be ordering this again, and more than likely, I won’t be going back.

Very busy fried seafood restaurant. Honestly, the best things on the menu aren't usually the big fried platters. I like the tacos, shrimp and grits, and the sides are nice too.

Good food and for a good price

The restaurant is pretty inside. Cute fish tank beautiful overhead lights. Tables were clean. Didn't need the facilities so cant comment on that. Our waitress was AWESOME, shes really the only reason I gave any stars at all . The presentation of the food was nice and you'd have no idea by looking at it that it was VERY VERY bland. The hush puppies were cute (I dont know why them being circles was cute to me but it was) but dry and flavorless. All the food lacked flavor, it was comical.
The fried green tomatoes, the fried onion the tenders( which were also dry and i think they may have just cut up regular chicken breast meat they were so dry) the salmon was way over cooked. The stuffing for the seafood stuffed shrimp was soooo disappointing , flavorless and mostly just breading. The shrimp used for it was also way over cooked and tough. Also they dont allow you to substitute your side for other side items on the sides menu. I asked to sub my sweet potatoe for sweet potatoe fries and was told I have to buy it as an additional side..its only a dollar more ?? Why cant I just pay an uncharge and get the side id like? The sweet potatoe was burnt on the ends and outside so I ate the inner part like of was eating crab out a shell. The wine serving and price was basically on par for the usual prices in the area. I didnt get the flounder but my husband also made a comment about it being flavorless and my brother said the same about his catfish. The fried onion was fried to perfection but also flavorless and a bit small. The slaw was almost like a sauce itself it was minced and soupy. My brother got cabbage and it was just straight up boiled cabbage.. no seasoning or herbs or anything. The only thing good about our meal was the wine and cinnamon butter for the potatoe. I won't be back. I spent 85 $ plus tip and it just wasnt worth it. But thanks to our server for exceptional service.

This was my 2nd time at Bay Breeze. I went to the same location in Hampton both times. I find the service to be fine, but the food does not measure up to a good day in a Red Lobster kitchen. If cheaper seafood is your aim you'll get it here, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Hadn't been in over 10 years. I think my next away stint will beat that. I didn't enjoy the food. I ordered catfish, I got Talapia. The shrimp cocktail were 6 pieces of bagged shrimp -- small/medium size. I bagged it and.left...hadn't eaten any of it.

The sweet tea was sugar water. Our waitress Brook was very good. She did an excellent job. My pet pea is the butter containers on the table are to small. I have to 7 or 8 for my baked potato. Thank you Brook!

My experience at Bay Breeze was good. I was satisfied with my food order. I called it in, now that could use some help. The phone was not answered for a long time. However, when I arrived my order was ready. To speak honestly, when I arrived a waited for 3mins before the young lady at the register acknowledged me. She was looking at her phone. I took it to be that she was young. She didn't look up until a lady from the back came out and asked if I was helped. The area for takeout was identifiable, right upfront.

We had a large party an hour before closing and our waitress Khadijah was awesome. We couldn't have had a better server. The food was also delicious as always. Huge portions for reasonable prices. Seafood at its best.
