Very disappointed with the food, they serve the fajitas on a plate ,so it gets cold pretty soon, peppers and tomatoes not cook enough, for me anyway, service was poor, budy for lunch, but not that busy for the lack of service

The food was not that good. It was swimming in grease. Chips tasted old. And for that it was overpriced. I had a beef burrito and 2 tacos with chips and dip.

One of my favorite local places for Mexican. The food and drinks are delicious. There are a few stragglers that hang outside of the package shop next door who can be a bit irritating if you're sitting on the patio.

Love the Mexican burger, just a little greasy this time. It was still good. My beans and rice were lukewarm. Most of the seats are torn up. We decided to sit in the hardtop. It was three of us and they loved the drinks. There's a 20% service fee. We will get it to go next time. The atmosphere and service are not worth an extra $20 service fee. Did not leave tip because patrons should know about the service fee on the front door. Seems deceitful. Get it to go. I always tip at least 15% with bad service, not with the fees. They do offer chips and salsa. The salsa was too spicy and there was not an alternative.

All staff are very friendly. The food is traditional Mexican. Family friendly ambience in the restaurant. There are great alcoholic drinks at the bar. There are many parking spaces.

Never got a refill. Waitress only came to check in twice maybe and ignored me asking to get a refill on my tea Which I had already sat at the edge of the table because it was empty. She gave us our ticket without a pen so we couldn’t write down how much of a tip we wanted to give. When the waitress took the card and check she selected the 20% tip on her own without our permission. I was unaware of this until I looked at the last ticket they give you before you leave. The quality of her service was not worth a 20% tip, it was barely worth a 5% tip. With saying all this I usually love this place and have always had a good time but this experience left a really bad taste in my mouth.

The charged us 20% grat on top of the 25% I already left on my lunch tab. The server never mentioned it and their menus haven’t been reprinted with this change and it’s not posted anywhere for their patio guest to see the change. My total was $80 for lunch with two people and we shared one plate and one pitcher of margaritas. And there was no manger on site to assist either.

The restaurant was located about a mile from our hotel. It was busy but was able to sit at the bar without any wait time. Bartenders were great and the food was pretty good.

Sombreros in Hapeville, GA. I give this restaurant 3 stars. Why? It's not that the food is not good, nor that the atmosphere is not great. I give this restaurant 3 stars because they punish you for ordering over $50 by automatically charging everyone at the table a 20% gratuity. Not only that, they treat all the patrons at a table as one, so you only get one bill. You can't divide the bill, and if you do, and your part of the bill is under $50 you still get charged 20% because the total at that table was over $50. And here's the real kicker, it's not just for tables of 6 or more. So the catch is, if it's a party of 4 or more or if you go over $50 you're automatically charged 20%. So order wisely.

We had initially gone to a restaurant around the corner, the atmosphere was bad. So we came to Sombreros, and I'm so glad we did. I was glad to see outside seating, nice atmosphere inside, large TVs at the bar, plenty of tables for seating. Just moments after taking our seat in a nice cozy Booth , our server greeted us, took our drink order, and before she walked away we had chips and salsa on the table. We were off to a great start. My chunky guacamole was made to order and specific, to my liking. The food was hot, and flavorful. Sombreros has been added to the list of place to bring friends.

Being bred, born & raised in Texas, I know Tex-Mex, via San Antonio. I was disheartened by Sombreros. Menu was extensive, the Texas margarita (with a Tajin rim) was very good. But my combo plate did not measure up to Tex-Mex. Where were the charro beans or the borracho beans? Not offered...only black or refried. Allegedly, they didn't have on the menu because "a lot of people don't eat pork"...well! But they serve carnitas. And you don't have to season with pork. The proper seasonings/herbs and either chicken or beef broth will produce a full-flavored pot of beans. Undoctored canned black beans were flat, dry & insulting to the culturally & gastronomically aware. The tamale was heavy, neither savory nor moist and the "chili' sauce was not authentic. To add injury to insult to, a chicken "taco" encased in a flour tortilla was uninspiring. At least, the music was authentic. The staff was responsive & friendly but I was so disappointed and doubt I will return.
