Understaffed and slow service. Party of 4. Salads came out before the appetizer; loaded fries because they were out of potato skins appetizer. Bourbon steak sandwich was not shaved but rather diced and it all fell off the hoagie because the bread was sliced alk the way through. One steak was very tough and burnt for a medium rare temperature. The other steak was fine. When we went, it was fairly empty but it still took over an hour. Drinks left empty unless we asked for a refill. They need better kitchen management and a designated hostess.
Food was fairly decent, but the service is what will keep us from returning. We had to remind our waiter of most things we needed SEVERAL times. He didn’t even put one order in at all. He was also misleading about a certain food item and then got sassy when we pointed it out to him that “goat cheese” does not mean “regular cheese.” I also pulled a long, blonde, curly hair (I have straight, brunette hair) out of my brussel sprouts and spit my food all over my plate WHILE HE WAS STANDING THERE and not only did he not apologize, but he didn’t even address the issue. You expect exceptional service (and no hairs) with their prices. Not impressed.
We visited Chicago's Steakhouse last night. The food was great and the service was awesome. Jess is the best!
I brought my boss “COO” of a major organization in Anderson to dinner because of the customer service on my first visit there. We made reservations at 6:30 they were not ready till 7:00 and actually stated that we did not have a 6:30 reservation. We emphasized this was a special occasion and drove over 40 minutes as our first experience was excellent. They placed in the bar, music was loud and they even moved us because the servers stated it was not their assigned server. In short this will be our last time. Poor customer service and the steaks were not the quality they were the first time. Just mediocre. I would not recommend this place. Based on my experience I feel liked we were punked. Smoking mirrors.
Having lunch at Chicago Steakhouse in Hartwell, Gawas a very good choice! Food was delicious! We had Salmon over Cesar salad and Chicken Alfredo! Both dishes were delicious and service was great too!! Nice place, nice people.
Nothing about this place is worth the price. Service was slow and also had to be reminded about sides multiple times. Reservations are not respected, still had to wait and got poor seating even though we called in days before. On too of all of that the food itself is no where near good enough to warrant the prices they charge. You’re better off just buying steaks and cooking them yourselves, at least then they will come out well seasoned. They get good business because they are the only steakhouse in the area, not because they are a good steakhouse.
The fried brussel sprouts were to die for. The service was great and the owner is a very nice and very smart man. We had a great time.
Amazing as always. Love love love the ppl and the food
We went here on Saturday for dinner. We were told reservation should be made since they get quite busy. We did for 5:00pm since we had a long drive afterwards. We were seated immediately upon arrival and after a while the waiter showed up. We both ordered wine, red for him and white for me. They were okay. The frozen margarita that I ordered later tasted like frozen lemonade with minute amount of lime and tons of sugar. No flavor and tasted like no tequila. My husband tried drinking it for the frozen ice but gave up. (Previous visit I had ordered spicy margarita and it was too spicy with little of lime/liquor taste.) For appetizer we ordered spicy Cajun shrimp. When it arrived it was cold. It had very little flavor and not spicy at all. The sauce was basically tomato sauce cooked with onions with minimal spices. There were five shrimp and they were cooked well (not overdone). I ordered grouper with vegetables and my husband had steak sandwich. The sandwich was okay with some meat (prior visit it had reasonable amount of meat). Fries were not crunchy and cold. My grouper was okay, a bit fishy. The steamed brussel sprouts came grilled in some oil. Preferred steam with no oil or butter unless they had olive oil, just a touch of that. It also came with mixed veggies that were sauteed in oil. Fish entree was also cold The salad was good (fresh romaine) with dressing on the side. The waiter was good but very busy, must have been working on takeout orders. Saw him taking bags of food to the door. Will not go here again.
Go somewhere else. Went in with a reservation, which they did not have ready for us before seating us outside. The food was overpriced and not very good. Our steak was tough, not thoroughly seasoned. And for that price? Not worth it. The working staff was extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. Not a great experience here. The waiter forgot to bring my side out several times even after reminding. I definitely recommend finding somewhere else.

my steak was supposed to be well done, it was very red on inside. When they brought steak back, still not well done. Service not very good. We will not be going back
Last time we had bad service and mixed up orders- food was good tho. Today we decided to try a second time and we were seated with menus and then they said no food for a few hours
It was last Wednesday we had made reservations but didn't need to. We were seated rite away and after getting our drinks we ordered the spicy calamari. when it arrived it looked like the scraps from the bottom of the bag I made this comment to the waiter and he said that was because they breaded the calamari heavily but the color was a very dark brown as if they had not changed their oil in months. So he took it away and removed it from our bill. Myself and my friend then ordered the Porterhouse and my wife ordered the steak salad which was to contain fresh strawberries there were none though the waiter said he would bring some the next time he came by she was promised they were on the way the waiter even said the bar tender was slicing some as he spoke well they never arrived the waiter apologized for the restaurant and left. Also there was very little steak in the salad again it looked like the scraps from the grill. My friend and I ordered the porterhouse (keep in mind they call themselves a Chicago steak house) they were about 3/8ts of an inch thick I felt as if we had wandered into a Sizzler For 38 dollars I expected better! Then there was what appeared to be a 14 year old girl behind the bar serving drinks (wow the laws in Georgia must be very different than the rest of the country) To sum it up it was a terrible experience. Now thinking back it is no wonder that nobody during the meal or when we left asked any of us how our meal was. When I mentioned this to some of the locals they informed me there was a management change about 3 months ago. Well this is not the way to build customer loyalty!
Ambiance was nice and the food was delicious, service was great as well. ☺️
The waitress did very well but the food was nasty. No seasoning. The sweet potato wasn’t sweet or even edible. I think It was leftover from the night before. The bread was so hard It chipped my tooth and I’ve never had any problems with my teeth. The salad was made from what tasted like the prickly patches of weeds that grows in unkept grass. It wasn’t lettuce. I love to eat and I hate to waste anything but I just couldn’t eat much. I understand northern food isn’t soul food or seasoned well because I am from New York but a little brown sugar in the potato, real lettuce, romaine or even spinach in the salad, a little steak seasoning, and soft edible bread isn’t too much to expect from a restaurant of such class and high prices. It was cold, dark, and uncomfortable in there. I would highly recommend opening It up in front of the bar and hiring a chef who enjoys customer satisfaction and isn’t just working a job solely to get a paycheck.
